Had numbers on their helmets this week too, looks like it's all coming back around. Just waiting for the big white neckrolls to make an appearance.

Thank god

You're

A moron

Yeah that

Didnt take long. True blue huh? Pretty pathetic if you ask me

Careful man

They'll takeaway all your points and banish you from the site for making true statements like that

Mattison

Is probably the best defensive coordinator and possibly the best overall assistant coach in all of college football. I don't think that is a stretch, we are incredibly fortunate to have him on our staff. I cannot wait to see what he can do when he has speed, talent and athleticism to work with.

Why is this guy Allowed to start threads?
God I hope we can start God I hope we can start talking shit again very soon. Winning by 3 TD's Saturday would really help
Good work The Vibrams are a great touch
I can't believe the lions are for real But I'm starting to think they are. That's what'll happen when you stop using all your first round picks for WR's. Amazing they let Millen run that organization into the ground as long as they did
Im more concerned With Cunningham torching us for 12-15 catches and 200 yards. Still don't think it will be enough for you
That was never going to be a good fit Not just for football where you only have to make several trips a season but all the travel for smaller sports would've really taken it's toll on the AD's budget. Every away game is at least 1000 mile trip.
How do you ever get over that?

Surviving a plane crash must just rock you to your core. I don't know how a kid finds the strength to recover from something like that.

The rankings still don't mean much

Our schedule is so backloaded it doesn't really mean anything to us. I couldn't care less about being #10. ESPN projected the first BCS ranking and had us at 9 right behind Stanford, we're not even close to as good as Stanford is right now.

At least

The freshmen have never lost

Why? What could possibly have made you skeptical of Borges?
Is there anything from stopping

people from bringing old couches to the tailgate and leaving them in the lot?

Definitely saw him grabbing his groin

I noticed it in I think the second quarter and I mentioned it to my buddy.  He is made of plastic.  I love his heart but I don't think he can make it through a season.  Plus I don't know where all the hype about him stems from in the first place.  I love his story and fighting back through injury etc. but it's not like he was ever a contributor on defense.  He looked okay for a handful of plays in the first game of the season and has been a complete nonfactor since.  I know he's been hurt and people claim that for a long time, even including Denard, he was the fastest guy on the team--but that's all he's got going for him.

Beer?

they sell beer in Spartan Stadium?

More aggressive

On the whiskey as well

Anyone with sense

Knows to say Fuck the Freep and Rosenberg an Snyder but the sad thing is that they still hold some bastion of power. Pretty sad

Pretty sad They can't seem to catch a break
Sure would be sweet If losIng to us kept them out
we should never

punt on 4th and 1.  Period.

we should never punt on 4 and 1

1 yard is automatic with Denard, I don't care where we are on the field.

must have been Awkaaaaaard!!

at his hosts house that night.  I hope they hadn't given him his bus ticket home yet and let him walk his ass out of town.

crush Sparty

this weekend and then we can start to believe this stuff.  Until then it just doesn't matter.

2 tackles

yesterday.  Hopefully he doesn't need to make any more this year but both tackles were really good plays.

Best Hit

This is going to increase the man-love for Jeremy Gallon but he definitely deserves it.  Go back to the film and watch Denard's first pick, the one he threw deep over the middle off his back foot.  Watch the hit that Gallon put on one of the NW CB's right after the ball was picked. I don't know if he is spending some time doing defensive tackling drills but that might have been the biggest hit of the game yesterday.  That kid is a football player

The similarities are definitely there

Ive been having the same feelings coming down the stretch about this team as the '97. I can distinctively remember realizing during the Iowa game that it was becoming a special season but we were so unsure of just how high the team could rise. Confident that we were very good but untested against the elite, that Penn St. Game was the nail in the coffin.

This team needs a statement win like that. It could be this weekend in EL. To go in there and blow the doors off lb in their building would make me a true believer that we're going to be facing Wisco in Indy in Dec. Denard is indeed special. His smile and attitude are incredible and his coachability is even more impressive than his athletic gifts.

Lordfoul--if you were on campus for the 97 season you obviously have an understanding of what the Michigan experience is and how special a connection that is. I know Michigan gives everyone a great experience but I'm sorry, anyone who lived through that season had it special in many ways. How many people got to storm South. U. 4 times in one year? Got invited into the President's house en masse after the Penn St. Game (by far the most unique experience of my college years), storm the field after beating OSU, beating #1 Duke in bball after being down by like 25 at half, storming the court then coming home just in time for Woodson to be announced as Heisman winner, Rose Bowl victory and NC, not to mention a Hockey NC with a ridiculous double overtime win against BC in their hometown--I've never been in a stadium where 18,000 people went from so deafening loud to deafening silent so quickly.

Doesn't get any better than that, but I think if this team has big success--a B10 championship, trip to Rose Bowl, etc. Denard will probably have had the most fulfilling Michigan experience in history. That guy put everything on the line for this program. He put his full faith in the hands of coaches that he barely knew. He trusted that DB and the University would make smart decisions and put him in the best possible position to be a Michigan Man. And it's working out for him. He--along with RVB, Martin, Kovacs, Woolfolk, Hemmingway, Koger and the rest have done absolutely everything that's been asked of them, and their dreams are being realized.  That kind of confidence is very hard to comeby and it's very similar to the look in the eyes that the 97 team had after beating Iowa. That 97 team really wasn't the most talented in the world, but they were hardworking and they were a team in every sense of the word. The defense had a star at CB, a hard-hitting safety, some pretty good linebackers and a tough workmanlike group upfront that i think was no better than what we have now. Offensively, it's not even close. This team is much much better and rather than having a bolt of electricity from Woodson every other game or so, we get one almost every drive from Denard.

That 97 team taught us that in college football, you don't have to be the most heralded and well known group of guys to succeed. A tight group that plays together, has some people who refuse to lose and play smart disciplined football in an effective and smart scheme, along with a lucky break here and there, can make a magical season. I'm also really happy for the student body who have a shot at enjoying a year similar to ours, they deserve it just as much.

Was Carr ever close

With anybody? That guy was kind of a cantankerous prick and got worse the longer he hung around.

Yeah but

They're good again. Only took 100 years

Dark days ahead

Id love to see them miss qualifying for a bowl game. Interested to see who they can get to take that job.

We need 4 quarters of football Like the way we played in the second half. Lots of bright spots out there. I like the way Countess recovered after getting beat early. That kid is really tough
It's all valid Caught the 4th quarter and they are horrific. Their o line sucks and they're in big trouble at QB
Watching at the alumni party in Dnever Was probably 150-200 Mich fans and would've thought the game was on the line on that last drive. It was great. There seems to be something for them to hang their hat on each week. Second half on both sides of the ball this week was incredible.
The second half was by far The best 30 minutes of football in the last several years--both sides of the ball. I was cautiously optimistic till the second half tonight. Now I'm starting to believe this is a pretty good team. With the current state of the big 10, anything is possible this year.
Mattison is one of the all-time best hires In Michigan history. His in game adjustments are worth every penny of that gold plated contract. There is so much coaching going on, it makes you wonder how top recruits could walk away from an opportunity to play for him.
I'm going with

George HW Bush

I just saw that

It was actually pretty good. They look like they've been coached to at least a midget football level in terms of fundamentals

Isn't that am idealistic thought

This game hasn't been amateur anything in many many years

Any recommendations

For a hotel? Jerry world is a bit of a drive from actual downtown right? Is there a way to get there easily for the game? Where do most people stay for events at the stadium?

Thanks

Solid work on that. There isn't a guy on that list that you would think of as not a Michigan Man through and through. Guys like Marcus Ray and Will Carr who never went on to big NFL careers but carry so much respect from anyone who watched them play week in and week out. Just solid citizens that make you proud to be associated with the UofM. The great thing about the program is that there maybe middle of the road players but there are no middle of the road men.

So glad to see

There are level headed people still posting on this site. Thank you for your service.

Trent?

Are they considering a statue for him on campus? That guy was the worst. How do you even mention him in the same breath as Edwards?

Maybe the people you share it with

Will give you money and you can use it to purchase some valium

I agree with this

But still don't think we'll see 3 undefeated teams--4 1 loss teams is more likely

Why?

Because I like funny stuff and think stupid stuff is stupid? The 40 cents a day comment on the picture below is fucking hilarious.
