Pursue Wormley hard...Hopefully we wrap up Godin on May 12,and grab Wormley when he's ready.  Then move on to the next position.

gajensen he was responding to your question of if Borges runs two tight end sets...That has been said multiple times, see any reference to MANBALL.

With all that being said Brown looks incredibly athletic on film...Great that we for the most part are back to having the ability to redshirt our Freshmen.  You can tell Mattison wants defensive lineman that can both rush and drop into coverage.

Brandon Wood

I actually work for a Men's Basketball program in the Horizon League and can honestly say Brandon Wood will help MSU out a lot next year.  The normal College Basketball fan would see Butler's success in the NCAA Tournament the past two seasons and be very impressed with Shelvin Mack....Mack was voted second team all-league this year behind Norris Cole from Cleveland State and Brandon Wood from Valpo.

He's a good scoring guard who originally transferred from Southern Illinois.  He completed his degree so thru the loop hole in the NCAA transfer policy he's able to leave Valpo and go to another school to pursue a graduate degree.  I want to say that's what happened with us and Ryan Mundy (West Virginia).

Feel bad for the Valpo fans and coaching staff...That entire program is absolutely pure class, Homer Drew is the nicest guy in the business.  Hope this was informative.

Hoke vs Dantonio

I'm pretty sure this makes the running recruiting tally:

Hoke: 7

Dantonio: 0

If you look at the players that we have committed which ones both had a Michigan and Michigan State offer.

Ben Braden, AJ Williams, Royce Jenkins-Stone, James Ross, Devin Funchess, Pharoh Brown, Mario Ojemudia....

Not a bad start...Potentially adding Matt Godin on the 12th of May would bump that up to 8-0 in favor of Big Blue.

Fun time right now for sure...Go Blue!

Wormley is the star of this

Wormley is the star of this position for the 2012 class that we are targetting....

With that being said, you should be excited about Brown, he's 6'6 - 220 lbs and will be a redshirt in his Freshmen year so you can bump that weight up about 15-20 lbs.

He holds offers from: Arizona State, Boston College, Cincinncati, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.

Who are we to say which one will be better between Brown and Mario...Flip a coin.  As long as Wormley is a part of the class, i'll glady take either Brown or Mario.

Excited to see how this class continues to fill out...Go Blue!

Godin/Thompson

Matt Godin is announcing on May 12 (Final Three - Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin)

If your into twitter you can follow him @mattgodin1

Ron Thompson originally claimed he was announcing on May 11...From what i've read i'm starting to think that isn't going to happen.

Hope this helps...Go Blue!

Cleveland Plain Dealer

This is my first time posting on the blog, and I have really enjoyed logging in countless times over the past year to read all of your threads.

For the past two years I have lived in Cleveland, Ohio because of my employment...I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Due to my location, the local newspaper I see laying around offices, buildings, etc is the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

In looking at the Sports page today, I found it interesting that they posted a feature called, "Big Ten Strong."  This little piece focuses on how in the past decade, the Big Ten has seen one of its defensive lineman taken in the first round every year, but never more then two...

Notice the list of names/years they include:

2010: Jared Odrick, Penn State, No. 28

2009: Aaron Maybin, Penn State, No 11

2008: Vernon Gholston, Ohio State, No 6

No need to go any further to make my point...Brandon Graham, Michigan was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2010 draft by the Philadelphia Eagles yet the Cleveland  Plain Dealer chose to put Jared Odrick at pick No. 28 in the article as the BT's Dline man from that class....Interesting.
