1.  The 100,000 attendance

1.  The 100,000 attendance record has likely already been fudged once or twice in the past few years to begin with.  Look at pictures of the student section alone at some games.  The stated capacity of Michigan Stadium is 109,901.  The 114,000 number often cited includes vendors, persons on the field, etc.  There have definitely been game days on which 10,000 people did not show up, or if they did, only after the first quarter (looking at you students).

During the national anthem, on homecoming, versus Purdue.  A better team than we'll see Saturday: http://michiganzone.blogspot.com/2011/11/michigan-student-section-fail…

2.  Look at USC.  Fired Kiffin after a 3-2 start and a blowout loss at ASU (hint hint... and USC even managed to score - 41 points).  USC finished 10-4 with a bowl win vs. the #20 team in the country.  Simply throwing out knee-jerk, populist views of mid-season firings limit teams' real optiions and result in outcomes like the post-RR coaching search... a team like Michigan can wind up with a MAC-level, losing-record D-Line coach with only a loose grasp of the English language and a complete inability to motivate his team.

Sounds good!  I will put some

Sounds good!  I will put some 85/15 on the grill this weekend at the tailgate!

What is the standard of guilt

What is the standard of guilt in S. Africa?  Certainly seemed to be a good actor and his story was believable beyond the smear evidence brought in.

The ticket market will

The ticket market will correct itself and there will be 100,000 in attendance.  Granted, that means we could very easily see tickets outside the stadium being sold for under $40.  Student tickets, I can imagine, might be nearly free in the secondary market.

The government has to

The government has to continue to drum up whatever public support it can for its latest bombing excursion into the middle east.  Syria now, is it?  And certainly no boots on the ground, like promised, right?  Except the "advisors" in Northern Iraq "training" the Kurds' KPG arm (more pro-capitalism), who surely won't turn on the PKK (more left leaning, designated by the US as a "terrorist" group) at some point with their shiny new American weapons?  Picking Kurdistan's future right-wing, pro-capitalism, American puppet state ahead of time.

Hi all,
Long time reader, but

Hi all,

Long time reader, but first time poster here.  I've finally registered because this is NOT the Michigan I know.  I've had enough.  The program needs to be cleaned out an started anew.  I've been a season ticket holder for two decades, yet can't get an even remotely personal response from Dave Brandon's office.  I don't think I've ever been more embarassed by a Michigan team's performance and lack of preparation than I was on Saturday night.  The coaching staff, especially Hoke, has lost control and is only digging this once, and still great, program further into irrelevance.

Actually, I'm now more embarassed by Brady Hoke's comments.  He truly is over his head and I feel bad for the players who are being under-developed by his inability to coach.  Isn't he supposed to be an O-line guru?  Isn't that HIS area of focus?  Isn't that Michigan's biggest failure during his tenure?  No accountability - no more dollars from me, and hopefully the rest of the fanbase.
