Does the analysis take into consideration holding calls that were declined? Could this answer a little bit of Alabama's bad luck? If they still get the sack and get a holding call they would decline the play. Obviosuly, this would scew the numbers that much and I am sure Alabama is still unlucky here, but it may bring them a little closer to the average...
Also, with the sack rate corrlation, I would assume the defences that are getting the most holding called against the offense are losing out on possible sacks because of the hold, thus giving a possible answer to positive correlation of the sack rating against plays/holding cal.

I thought I had read statements saying he was sticking with Michigan even after visiting Alabma and then a week later there is a huge run of crystal balls to Alabama. Not for sure what happened here and how we keep missing on our beiggest OL targets each year.
I wish they would use their timeouts on defense more often in the first half. It seems there is always one drive each game where the offense is doing something the defense isn't ready for and they keep doing it. I wish they would take a timeout and figure out how to work on it before they scroe a touchdown.

While Hoke and crew did nothing with the Offense, look at that Defense. Your DB's are Lewis, Stribling, Hill, and Thomas. Gedeon and McCray were your linebackers and Charlton and Hurst were the DL's. Dang, that is a lot of production.
You have at least 2 first rounders in there, 3-5 mid round guys, and 1 or 2 would be fringe guys. That is impressive.
I'm with you on this one. I can't see a situation where any team behind Michigan jumps them. The committee really labored the point that conference champions don't matter as much as they have in the past. They look at strength of schedule and head to head. If Colorado beats Washington we would have wins against every team who might jump us...and I can't see the committee doing that based on their comments this week.
Maybe it is just me, but this People-Jones recruitment seems like it is going to take on a very Gary esque theme. Where Michigan comes out and seems like the odds on favorite to the point where everyone knows where he is going, but is too afraid to saying as to not jink it and have him pull a DeShawn Hand.

The best of the entire welcome article came near the end "he averaged 36.3 yards on 23 punts, pinning 12 inside the 20 with a long of 62".

Since he is only going into his junior year, I wouldn't be surprised if ended up a few inches taller as well.
