I was at that game

Clemson's best player got kicked out after wanting to fight Zack Novak. Clemson had maybe 200 fans there and they were all behind the bench. It was a blowout in the first half by Michigan. In second half, Clemson started taking advantage of their size and nearly came back and won. Sprint Center in Kansas City didn't have a bad seat in the house really.

OSU football slammed by 2 Broke Girls At the end of this 1:07 clip on 2 Broke Girls a large in stature gay guy says, "Drama like this is why I quit the Ohio State football team." Not sure if anyone else noticed or posted this already. http://www.cbs.com/shows/2_broke_girls/video/r5TiJ1ViGblO5yESvv3YSHdjus…
I'm hearing alot of Lloyd I'm hearing alot of Lloyd Carr left the cover bare with talent. With the amount of freshmen that played that is probably the case somewhat. However, they had six tight ends remember and they didn't use them every down. Next year there will be what five tight ends? And Sheridan is now on scholarship right? They kept calling him a former walk-on on the broadcast. Which will make at least five tight ends and six scholarship QB's for next year. That is 11 out of 75 scholarships where only one guy, whoever the QB is, out of those 11 will be on the field at most times. Oh and not to mention two fullbacks that didn't seem to be used as much as we thought they'd be. Plus, Kevin Grady not being used hardly since his costly fumble vs. ND.

The only positive? I don't The only positive? I don't live in Ohio anymore and have to be around the Ohio State crap. Terrel Pyror doesn't scare anyone? He only had maybe four good passes all game, but three of four of those good passes went for TD's. The other he looked like Troy Smith as he dodged Jamison and Graham and whoever tried to tackle only to heave the ball down field to a receiver. Rodriguez seems to only have four plays the stretch option/zone read (1)left or (2)right. The (3)RB hitch/screen pass, (4) the fake RB hitch/screen pass. I guess the stretch option zone read could be two plays left or two plays right because the QB can run himself or handoff. Regardless this playbook doesn't seem to be all that big. In 2007 the Red Wings played Calgary in the playoffs. The Flames were completely outmatched and to save face they started unneccessary fights and if it were the UFC not NHL the Flames would've won handily. My point is Michigan looked like the 2007 Flames or Michigan State under John L. Smith couldn't quite tell. The emotion and energy wasted by Michigan trying to start fights and trash talking was pretty classless, and proved this squad is pretty insecure to the point they have to resort to this to help get themselves motivated. Also, what was with the John Thompson almost fighting one of the assistants? We can only hope either Forcier or Beaver can have a freshmen season like Pat White did at West Virginia where he led them to a Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia.

Books Did everyone that went to college think about or try to write a book about their college years? I got six pages into mine. The townies in Ann Arbor are way cooler than other places I've lived. The Ann Arbor townies usually were eccentric and somewhat interesting. Townies in other places I've lived were basically rednecks.

Jason Whitlock used to write Jason Whitlock used to write for the Ann Arbor News, not sure what that says. But I grew up reading that paper. I live in another state now and read it online periodically to see how my Ann Arbor area high school I went to did in their football games. I noticed this year they were asking for volunteer writers for their high school sports. Their game articles are about the same length of blurb I'm typing and no author seems to be listed. Is the AA News going broke? Jim Carty and Michael Rosenberg are equally bad. I don't think either of them talk sports, they just overly cover minor controversies. It is like both those guys are padding their resumes trying to get a job reporting for Outside the Lines.

Well look at WV last year

Well look at WV last year when White was injured and look at Penn State running the spread with Michael Robinson and look at them with Anthony Morelli. Look at Oregon last year when Dennis Dixon got hurt. Ohio St. with Justin Zwick running the spread vs. Troy Smith running it. The spread without a mobile QB is a CFL /run and shoot looking useless offense.

UM ran the spread somewhat vs. Florida in the bowl game, but generally without a very mobile QB it just doesn't work great alot of the time.

Tom Brady and Patisies offense is not like the spreads in college football. You don't Brady directly taking the snap out of shotgun and running the ball off-tackle to pickup at least 4-5 cheap yards in a designed fashion every other down like you do with the college spreads.

Nick Sheridan This is just hard to believe a walk-on is somehow better than two highly recruited division I QB's. What also worries me is West Virginia's game vs. South Florida last year. Pat White got injured and a less mobile 6'4" guy came in and was OK, but WV still lost and it seemed like if there was no big threat to reel off a big run Rodriguez's offense just doesn't seem to work.
