Not trying to be combative,…

Not trying to be combative, but did you read the title of the study (not article) that I linked? It specifically is talking about daily active tobacco smokers. Obviously smoking is bad, but it might not be a significant risk factor for COVID. It's inconclusive right now.

I didn't say that it was…

I didn't say that it was definitively true -- just that there isn't a scientific conclusion right now. Do you have any criticisms of the actual science in the study? I'm not sure what your qualifications of a "major study" are, and why this would be "fake news".

Definitely wait it out and…

Definitely wait it out and see. No schools have made a decision yet, and most aren't even close -- despite what some may say, the decision is still at least two months out. For what it's worth, Schlissel and others (like Dr. Fauci) have said they're cautiously optimistic that schools will return in the fall. It may look different than a normal semester, but it would still be worth it (in my opinion) to be on campus.

Also, Michigan has said they're committed to continue hiring students throughout the summer and fall for work-study and other jobs -- not sure about other universities, but I'm pretty sure there'll still be jobs available on campuses this fall.

No idea about e-cigs, but…

No idea about e-cigs, but the theory that smoking is a predictor for worse coronavirus outcomes is unproven. There's actually some research that the opposite is true -- there was a study (https://www.qeios.com/read/article/574) that claimed that smokers were much less likely to progress to severe symptoms. I believe the idea is that nicotine bonds with ACE2 receptors, which is the same mechanism that COVID-19 uses to bind to cells.

Also, given the EXTREMELY low fatality rates in those under the age of 40, I don't think we're seeing any evidence that e-cigs are causing worse outcomes for that age range. Interesting theory though, and definitely an area that should be studied when we have the resources to do so.

Interesting -- I didn't…

Interesting -- I didn't expect the G-League to be able to offer salaries that high. Obviously the meat of his deal is in the shoe sponsorship, but it'll be interesting to see.

Also looks like Isaiah Todd will be joining him instead of going overseas: https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1250837290819207168

They haven't cancelled anything, they're making a contingency plan (which the article even says is "very unlikely to happen").

I've always followed the Tour as a passing interest, but Ineos/Sky has always made it dull enough that I've never really watched the individual stages. This year, I've actually had to tune into some of the more exciting stages. Great stuff! I may have to tune into more cycling events throughout the year now.

He's certainly not beating…

He's certainly not beating out Tua, Haskins, Herbert, Lock, etc. But it's cool to have him on the list. Having a top-16 QB in the nation is something we couldn't have dreamed about last year.

Hooray! Something for us new…

Hooray! Something for us new users to look forward to.

It's interesting to me that…

It's interesting to me that we like to drag the AP and the CFP committee for overrating the ACC, but your model still has some of the "overrated teams" (NC State, BC, Syracuse) in the top 25 without taking those polls into account.

What's the major ding on him…

What's the major ding on him? I've never seen him come up on NFL draft projections thus far.

I was at the game last Friday against Northwood, and was impressed at the turnout for an exhibition. Let's get a similar crowd tomorrow night! Crisler is such a good home environment when it's packed.
