Zach Brown Transferring from UW
He'll be a 5th year senior and apparently has already graduated, so he's effectively a free agent and can play this fall.

Any chance Michigan takes a run at this guy? He's probably better than any RB currently on our roster. Obviously, this assumes UW did not restrict him from going to a Big 10 school when they granted his release.
I believe per conference rules, we cannot give a scholarship to any player transfering from a B1G school. If he wanted to pay his own way...
Did Boren pay his own way at tosu or is this a new rule?
Why couldn't OSU give Boren an "athletic scholarship" or financial aid though?
I wasn't aware of that. Did Boren pay his own way?
this makes his going undrafted even sweeter. not that i bear him any ill will or anything...
I heard he learned new business skills and ways to earn money from taking tVest's Coaching Theory 211 class, where his Thesis was on how to sell memorabilia and not report it to tVest.
Just sain'.
I would think that they probably did restrict him from going to another B1G school, Scout and Rivals aren't showing any UofM interest from him on his recruiting page.
Bored paid his own way after he left Michigan
Unless the plowing business is really that profitable, the decision to leave Michigan makes him look that much stupider. Now he leaves Ohio State undrafted, and with quite a bit of debt too.
I doubt there is "quite a bit of debt."
OSU has gotten more expensive, but it is still in-state tuition.
I doubt he is in any debt with all the memorabilia he sold over the past few years.
Add in the free cars, housing, and handshakes and he might have even made some money.
I wouldn't sell our current Running Backs short.
He's a pretty darn good back, it's just that third on the depth chart is unappealing. He got lots of PT as an underclassman backing up Hill (in front of Clay).
Is his band coming too? I love their song chicken fried
Damn. Beat me to it.
I just saw them at the Hollywood Bowl - amazing show. Alan Jackson even came out for the song he does with them.
I get the short joke. Nice one.
I agree, at least 1 or 2 out of our current group of running backs will become a good starter(s)!
Boren paid his own way to OSU. I don't think the snow plowing gig was that profitable, unless he made some money in the plow accident?
If I remember correctly, in order to play elsewhere he has to enroll in a program that wasn't available at his prior school. That's what kept Jason Forcier from being eligible when he tried to come back to Ann Arbor. If I'm right, it may not be the easiest task to find a program not offered by UW.
Zach Brown also transferred from UW to MSU in my NCAA Football 11 Dynasty. Guy was a beast of a running back.
and he brings his band I'll call it good.
