Zach Brown Transferring from UW

Submitted by BJNavarre on

He'll be a 5th year senior and apparently has already graduated, so he's effectively a free agent and can play this fall.

Any chance Michigan takes a run at this guy? He's probably better than any RB currently on our roster. Obviously, this assumes UW did not restrict him from going to a Big 10 school when they granted his release.

I believe per conference rules, we cannot give a scholarship to any player transfering from a B1G school. If he wanted to pay his own way...

I would think that they probably did restrict him from going to another B1G school, Scout and Rivals aren't showing any UofM interest from him on his recruiting page.

I doubt he is in any debt with all the memorabilia he sold over the past few years.

Add in the free cars, housing, and handshakes and he might have even made some money.

I agree, at least 1 or 2 out of our current group of running backs will become a good starter(s)!

Boren paid his own way to OSU. I don't think the snow plowing gig was that profitable, unless he made some money in the plow accident?

If I remember correctly, in order to play elsewhere he has to enroll in a program that wasn't available at his prior school.  That's what kept Jason Forcier from being eligible when he tried to come back to Ann Arbor.  If I'm right, it may not be the easiest task to find a program not offered by UW.
