Your Arena Rawk Suggestions
I'm of the marching band generation who fought the arena rawk that currently pollutes our Saturdays. But, day dreaming about Speed In Space and how good Nico will be, I was thinking they should play the very beginning of "I'm Waiting For The Man" by The Velvet Underground & Nico on third and long.
Yeah, it's a stretch and no one would get it, but it's off season. So... What clip of pump-up arena rawk would you like to hear in the stadium and bonus credits to player tie-ins?
Every game before the last:
Know Your Enemy, Rage Against the Machine
Last Game:
Music Must Change, The Who
Less Rawk
Follow the Leader, Eric B and Rakim
Prancer by Dillinger Escape Plan. Just to weed out the weak.
Trombone Shorty: Hurricane Season

Mocean Worker: Shake Ya Boogie
Fuel -- Metallica
Hell yeah -- Rev Theory
Lose Yourself -- Eminem
"Man Eater" by Hall & Oates after EVERY big tackle.
Can I play but by suggesting songs that should be banned forever?
Seven Nation Army, for one...
And the next fuckwad that plays "We are the Champions" at any sporting event, anywhere, should be bound, gagged, and dropped into a honey badger den.
"We are the Champions"
would come out of that den unscathed playing We are the Champions
Not a huge fan of the rawk, would rather hear more of the band, but the occasional bit is all good.
If I had to pick, I would to have something that was participatory and fun to go with the horn riff from "Ottie Spottie Dopalicious", maybe also with the "Damn, Damn, Damn, Damn" part when there is a bad call or something like that.
I entered the arena to Welcome to the Jungle and won my fight
I would like to hear more Christopher Cross
... or some of Karen Carpenter's solo work.
I loved their hit “Jump” back in the early ‘90s.
Hey , Christopher Cross filled in for Ritchie Blackmore with Deep Purple once . How many people can make that claim ?
Anything but Sweet Caroline (da da da).
How about Strutter by Kiss? Yes, I am old.
South of Heaven - Slayer
It's the obvious choice. Who can beat that intro riff?
I just said this in response to someone saying Reign In Blood
