Will Peacock make replays of the UM-ECU game available to stream?

Submitted by Whirled Peas on August 23rd, 2023 at 12:31 AM

I have Youtube TV and planned to add the Peacock channel in order to DVR the UM-ECU game.  I just found out Youtube TV doesn't carry Peacock.

If I purchase Peacock directly from NBC will it allow me to watch a full game replay?  I'll be out of town and attending a family function so watching a live stream likely won't be an option.

If not, I hope there's a clever MGoSolution out there

They let me watch replays of everything else they broadcast, so I don't see why not. Since they carry several niche sports I enjoy and my schedule can be kind of tight, I make use of it extensively to catch stuff I want to see.

Note: They offer replays of EPL games that they do not stream live due to being broadcast on USA, 24 hours after the game airs on television. EPL games are only available for 30 days. However, you can still watch year-old recordings of a lot of other stuff, and I would guess B1G football will be similarly available.

Just my experience.

I had Peacock last year and I remember after Notre Dame laid an egg with Marshall I was able to rewatch it during the week.

I also remember being able to start other games from the beginning if I showed up late and it not spoil it by showing me the score.

Overall the watching experience as I remember it was excellent.

I just tried out the rewind/start from beginning feature during golf over the weekend. Basically, it lets you go back 4 hours. I was about 4.5 hours into the broadcast on Peacock and it would only let me go back 4 hours. That said, shouldn't be an issue for CFB games, unless it goes into multiple overtimes.

Kinda my point. I’ve heard multiple people on the board say they are accessing Peacock as a YouTube TV add-on, which YTTV offers for a bunch of other standalone networks…but not Peacock. So, that is basically the question: Are they truly accessing is as a YTTV add-on, or simply subscribing separately?

Most of the time, people post videos to YT with all the commercials edited out. They don't last long before they are taken down, but almost always, you can catch get the game that way for the week following the game.

There are every play recaps on youtube. Our old buddy, WD posts them regularly, as do others and they are available next day (sometimes sooner). If you don't already have Peacock and aren't watching live, just watch one of those.

Hopefully, this will be good to go on Saturday. Would use all year long, if given the chance:

We have a family policy that starting Labor Day, no family functions, birthday parties, weddings, showers, etc., none of these things are allowed to happen until after Thanksgiving and/or football season has ended.  With this plan in place, there is no way that 15 random wedding guests miss the bridesmaid's toast because they're out in the parking lot listening to the game on the radio.

Yeah dude…same boat. I have a numb nut family member having a 2pm wedding. I was going to dvr and then just watch it later (around 6 or so). It’s a 2nd wedding so this is a super fast wedding + eating order (2-3 hrs total).

I was hoping around 6 I’d be able to turn the game on but unsure from the replies if this is possible.
