Who is saddling up Thursday in Des Moines?
How many are planning on making the trip to Iowa? My wife and I bought tickets because the location is in our backyard "so to speak". Hope to see a sea of Maize! Go Blue from Section 312!!

First two games are in Des Moines and next two are in Anaheim, right?
Final Four would probably be the only round I could attend so let's make sure to get there. Go Blue!

The National Championship is the only round I can attend so let's make sure to get there.

National Championship parade is all I can attend. So you all there!

Pack an inflatable raft and emergency supplies in your trunk. Spring flooding is no joke.

As tempting as it is to go sit around a bunch of Sparties for the fourth time this season, and this time in Des Moines, Iowa, I think I'm gonna sit this one out

We have the late game, so most Spartan fans will be gone. This is not the game to sit out.
Well the other factor is that I came back to school early for spring break just to go to East Lansing for the second game, and then I left school early on Friday to go to Chicago for the weekend. So at this point, I feel like I'm both a bad luck charm and would be better served to watch the Thursday game in Ann Arbor than try to find a way to Iowa
Well, we're not actually playing MSU this time around, so that may help.

I won't be there, but look for Staee's version of Sister Jean likely to be at courtside when the sparties play Bradley:

Disgusting and disgraceful.

This makes me want to go to Des Moines just to heckle him. Fuck engler.

what you may be unaware of is that engler thinks the basketballs are easter eggs. if one goes over toward his seat, he'll eat it. if one of the players is nearby, he'll eat the player too. happens fast, watch close.

I bought tickets last week and I can literally walk to the arena - looks like I picked the right session!
Trying to figure out 2nd round tix but they're all over $100.

Hoping to attend the Saturday game after dispatching the Grizzlies on Thursday. But the specter of co-existing with throngs of Spartan fans makes me unhappy.

I’ll be in section 322 with my son. This will be his first ever NCAA tournament game, and he’s pumped!

This is a discouraging thread.
I can't go due to work/family reasons, by why the hell do people care if Michigan State fans are there? The two teams don't have anything to do with each other for the next two weeks.
I just assumed Saturday's games will be one session, meaning I would be forced to watch the Spartans play and also sit amongst their masses. If it is one session, I don't want to see Nick Ward play. And I don't want to interact with Sparty Nation. I'll still go, but it will make the experience much less pleasurable.

Would love to go but how to get there is the problem.
DTW - Des Moines plane tickets are $1000
Fly to Chicago and drive?
I would think that it would be cheap enough airfare to be able to rent a car, buy game tix and get a hotel for less than a grand. Maybe? It is a five and a half hour drive tho. Fly into the Twin Cities?
If I'm flying into the twin cities to watch Michigan Basketball, I want it to be in a couple of weeks.
One of the great benefits of retiring early last year is having the time and the $$$ to follow Michigan teams out of state. My wife and I will be in Des Moines cheering loudly for the maize and blue. She was quite surprised in Wichita last year when Jordan Poole's buzzer beater caused such an instantaneous adrenaline rush that I lifted her over my head and spun around in a circle like we were figure skaters!
