Which surface was slipperier - the hardwood in Atlantis or the turf at the Fiesta Bowl? CC: Chris Olave

Olave admitted the mistake. Though the loss certainly is not all on him. The game actually turned on the dirty hits on Lawrence.

“I was supposed to run a post, but I thought [Fields] scrambled out of the pocket so I turned around to try and get open for him,” Olave said, eyes red and moist. “But he ended up throwing the ball to the post. It was my mistake.”

Fields, in stunned disbelief, put his hands on his helmet, covered entirely in Buckeye leaves from his sublime season. Olave crumbled to the turf as Clemson’s sideline erupted, stampeding onto the field in jubilant celebration. The 20,000 Clemson fans in attendance jumped with rollicking force.

“It was terrible,” Olave said. “Worst feeling in the world. I don't really have any words for it. It’s tough.”

It would be very bad sportsmanship, and very bad form, to make fun of him today.

Oh it’s up to us?  Gee thanks buddy.  Maybe you can delete your bullshit cuck post telling us what we should feel and say, since ya know, it’s up to us.

Michigan's grass field was an embarrassment.  Worse than most decent high-school fields.  I still remember Chris Perry skating around on our field prior to the field-turf in 2003, afraid to make any aggressive cuts because the field would give way under his feet.  Changing to field-turf turned him into a totally different back.
