Which Jim Harbaugh will we get on Saturday?

The Jim that lights up the refs when they make a bad call or the one that solemnly nods his head in agreement. The Jim that rips into a player who fumbles or the one that sighs and doesnt address it. The Jim that is running along the sidelines directing his offense on how to run a 2 minute drill or the Jim that looks confused and passive (turtling). The Jim that plays his best players and says tough shit to the 2nd and 3rd stringers who don't get to play many meaningful minutes or the Jim that unnecessarily rotates in guys like Vansumeren and Nordin that arent at the same level as other players right now. We want pre-2017 Harbaugh back!

I want the Jim Harbaugh who would bring a goat into the locker room during pregame, string it up and slit its jugular so the team can take turns drinking its blood.

Right now we need to summon the Greek gods of war to aid us against our enemies. It's the only solution left.

Nobody is going to throw a flag at Harbaugh—or any other coach—for simply being animated or angry at their own players on the sidelines, unless they're out on the field. It's specifically going after the officials that draws the fouls.

I didn't watch the second half of the Illinois game so I can't speak to what Harbaugh was like in the second half, but what I saw in the first half was a guy who looked very unemotional on the sidelines, almost disengaged. Obviously that's not a reflection of reality, but one of the stupid Michigan penalties for a late hit out of bounds occurred almost in Harbaugh's lap, and I didn't see him react much at all to his player committing the foul. Maybe I missed him doing so, but what I did see of him was almost like an assistant coach focused on his sheets. Very different from the guy I remember from 2015 and 2016.

I am more concerned about which Shea Patterson we get, the one we have seen this year, or the guy who looked far better last year.  I know the odds are against it, but I keep hoping we see 2018 Shea this week and going forward.

Because I question our trusted insider's penchant to react like a 13 year old schoolgirl when challenged? Are you able to explain how that makes me, what I assume you're implying is, ignorant? Pardon me for thinking that a respected source shouldn't reduce himself to juvenile name-calling.  I appreciate what umbig11(A. Biggers) brings to the discussion 99% of the time. It's his response to critics that 1% of the time that reduces his credibility.

BTW, hit the Googles for my username. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

Upvoted.

This kind of OP post is just utter nonsense. Imagine a world where as an alum, a guy who not only played in The Game but called his god damned shot you are castigated by some random blog poster who gets the feels that you're not emotionally invested *enough*. Not that there is any evidence of it, particularly, but OP feels this way, that you, alum, head coach, "what's your deal" guy have changed. If only you'd be more emotionally demonstrative on the sideline then crossing routes would be better managed. Yell at more refs and mediate our deficiencies at DT. Call out some players on the sideline and your QB play would obviously improve.

Sure bud, it's the feels. FFS.

Do we really need to go over all the stupid plays Michigan has run over the last 3 years? And show you the list of failed players,  or coaches,  Harbaugh decided to bring to the team?

On top of a lot of mistakes Harbaugh has made.  His interviews and post game presses over the last year have increasingly been awful with low energy.  Lots of people agree that he doesnt seem to care.  It's not a stretch to believe maybe his motivation isn't the same as it used to be.
