Where is Kareem Walker on depth chart
Was wondering what everyone thought about coach's words regarding Walker. When I heard it live and watched JH reactions I came away with: Evans, Higdon, and Isaac are the top 3. It (almost) sounded like once he was done speaking about those 3 and mentioning the 2 freshman that he caught himself and realized he had not mentioned Walker. He then went on to say Walker needs to improve passpro and could make a jump in season 1 to 2, "shoot, he's in it man". I may be reading too much into it, but when coach raves about Higdon and Evans, speaks about Isaac getting in shape and a clear cut top 3 - Walker seems to becoming an after thought.. I truly hope I'm wrong, I know some people on here felt like we took Walker because we had to after he de-commited from Urb, but maybe OSU saw something... Here is to Kareem proving my speculation wrong.

Truer words have never been said.
is down the depth chart right now. He didn't play a lot last year, while working on his grades. He also has 3 guys ahead of him who have a lot of experience and are all very good backs.
He will find his footing and improve as the season goes on, but would think it will be another year before he cracks the rotation.
Welp, there it is. He's 4th. End of thread.
1. Chris Evans
2. Karan Higdon
3. Ty Isaac
4. Kareem Walker
...this has been the case for forever now.
The REAL question is who's #5? Samuels or Taylor?
Would be cool if both could redshirt and a guy like Tru Wilson is the #5, but that probably won't happen.
Tru.
He will get touches. We had 4 RB's last year with touches, so I don't see it being any different. Especially in blow outs. I'd like to see him carve out a nice role as the short distance back, however the Hammering Panda is the fucking man at that.
For a not super highly touted guy, he's been pretty solid. I like his compact running style and hopefully he's added a bit more of a receiving threat to his game.
sounds like Harbaugh is very impressed with Karan. It's very nice knowing we still have 2 years of him, and 3 years of Chris Evans.
He will be a RS FR so 4 years left. He has plenty of time to prove himself.
Not because he decommitted from osu...
I'm optimistic about him as well. He seemed to lose some speed and quickness as his high school career progressed based on how his earlier highlight film was more impressive than his later one, but in the few short clips of him running in the maize and blue, he looks to have regained some of that burst. I'm eager to see how he does. I think he'll surprise.
I wonder how much of Walker's film had to do with him physically maturing faster than his peers, and peaking earlier. It would explain why Walker looked a little slower/less dynamic his senior year if everyone around him caught up.
