What will our record be next year?

Submitted by MonkeyMan on

So what do you think our record will be at the end of regular season next year?

I would like to say undefeated but at the moment we do not have a decent QB that is proven to be good- not having a decent QB is a big drag on the offense so I will say 11-1 or 10-2 based on what I know now. Plus Meyer is at full speed at this point.

What say you?

quarterback, I look for a 2 game improvement in the transition year. If a quarterback emerges by the start of league play that can give us above average play from that position, then we could do a game or 2 better.

That's what makes this such a great situation for Harbaugh . . . almost anything will be viewed as an improvement.  All he has to do is make a bowl game - any bowl game - and he's beaten last year by an order of magnitude.

I have to assume that you're also predicting the expanded playoff format next year as well, and a larger expansion that first conceived at that. Bold move indeed.

Either that, or we're playing most games twice due to temporal anamolies which will affect the planet from time to time throughout the fall. Either way, I like it.

Lol...just kind of being a smart ass because I'm sure we'll see this thread 5 times before September. I was thinking we'd win like 15 games or whatever the amount it would take to win the Playoff, then we would take on some NFL playoff teams and eventually win the Super Bowl.

that actually got me thinking about how cool it would be if they had a promotion relegation system in place from college to the nfl. if college football goes the route of paying players, and gets rid of the 4 year rule, then I see a Michigan team made up of Tom Brady and all of the best Michigan players competing for a superbowl.

9-0-3, just like in '92.

Sure, ties aren't allowed in NCAA football anymore.  But successful NFL coaches don't leave for college jobs, either.
