What does Jalen Hurts do 1 hour after a dominant win?

I didn't think Lincoln Riley could do with Jalen Hurts what he did with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. But he is. At this point Hurts is a likely Heisman finalist. He's doing things he never came anywhere near doing at Alabama. Hat's off to Lincoln Riley! Seriously! Hat's off!

But what does Jalen Hurts do after a big win, where he was 17 for 24 passing, for 415 yds, 3 TDs, and 1 INT., and 70 yds rushing on 9 carried, and 1 TD (still with some leg pads on)?

This. Strap it on to face him!

Saban didn't "screw the kid." Saban just decided that his shiny, new toy was more fun than the old one. Jalen used Saban's decision as fuel, and good on him for working his ass off to prove Nicky wrong.

Nobody got hurt in the process, but is life sometimes. We don't always feel like we're treated fairly, but we get to choose how we respond.

BTW, if you see Jim Harbaugh, please tell him I've been looking for this guy. I want to see him back on the sidelines:

This is such a stupid narrative. As if Harbaugh yelling at refs is going to make the team play better.

And it’s not even true. He went ballistic at the refs in the Army game after the call that stole the fumble return TD against us. Nobody ever bothers to mention that.

A little sideline emotion simply has no effect on what goes on in practice and there’s no data or testimony to suggest that there is some correlation. We’ve heard that he doesn’t give rousing speeches, but anybody who watched the Amazon series already knew that.

Sideline demeanor just isn’t a big deal.

He did the QB hitting thing to Shea before the game today.  I feel like he does that every game.  I also think having Gattis' energy on the sidelines was good for everybody.  Let JH be the CEO and plan the big picture & let Gattis & Brown run those units and motivate them.
