What does Jalen Hurts do 1 hour after a dominant win?
I didn't think Lincoln Riley could do with Jalen Hurts what he did with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. But he is. At this point Hurts is a likely Heisman finalist. He's doing things he never came anywhere near doing at Alabama. Hat's off to Lincoln Riley! Seriously! Hat's off!
But what does Jalen Hurts do after a big win, where he was 17 for 24 passing, for 415 yds, 3 TDs, and 1 INT., and 70 yds rushing on 9 carried, and 1 TD (still with some leg pads on)?
This. Strap it on to face him!
September 28th, 2019 at 9:04 PM ^
Yeah, but where's the jorts! Loser! ;-)
September 28th, 2019 at 9:05 PM ^
Man what did that ball do to him?
September 28th, 2019 at 9:46 PM ^
Clearly nobody has introduced him to golf like Shea
September 28th, 2019 at 9:54 PM ^
This is what professionals do. Move on to the next challenge and stay disciplined at all times. This is why Tom Brady is still in the NFL after being 40. You need to be dedicated if you want to win championships.
September 29th, 2019 at 8:17 AM ^
Agreed. So many times you see guys who were always dominate just rest on their laurels. I’m rooting for Jalen. Saba screwed this kid and I’m not so sure Tua is any better.
September 29th, 2019 at 9:58 AM ^
Or, maybe he didn’t work up a sweat in the game!
September 29th, 2019 at 11:09 AM ^
Saban didn't "screw the kid." Saban just decided that his shiny, new toy was more fun than the old one. Jalen used Saban's decision as fuel, and good on him for working his ass off to prove Nicky wrong.
Nobody got hurt in the process, but is life sometimes. We don't always feel like we're treated fairly, but we get to choose how we respond.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:05 PM ^
Oklahoma will play 1 good team this year.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:23 PM ^
And if Lincoln Riley gets 3-3 heisman trophy winners, I think we got a new QBU
September 28th, 2019 at 10:47 PM ^
OU has had 4 QBs win Heisman's since 2000, and Heupel finished #2. It's already QB U.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:18 PM ^
And not 1 of them can match even Elvis Grbac in NFL pedigree. It’s college level QBU.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:32 PM ^
Nobody cares...I would rather see our QBs do well HERE. Wouldn't you?
September 29th, 2019 at 4:37 AM ^
And your point is?
September 29th, 2019 at 6:36 AM ^
It's a little early to tell isn't it? Mayfield is in year 2 and Murray is in year 1.
September 29th, 2019 at 4:18 PM ^
Man we make some seriously dumb comments on this board.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:13 PM ^
So is Clemson and OSU this year. At this point, who cares about who they play. They're all cream of the crop in college football along with Bama and UGA. There's an ever increasing gap between the elites and the rest of CFB teams.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
What do you think our guys do?
September 28th, 2019 at 9:12 PM ^
I don't know. I'm not there. Tell me.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:17 PM ^
Probably hang out at Skeeps if I had to guess.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:24 PM ^
Nah. Straight to Ricks! Straight to Ricks!
September 28th, 2019 at 10:23 PM ^
This routine builds almost as much character as Rick’s.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
I saw Pat Kugler slamming beers at the Jug after losing to OSU back in 2017. That pissed me right off.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:08 PM ^
Why? What’d you want him to do? Ask for a re-do?
September 29th, 2019 at 1:15 AM ^
Be too embarrassed to show his face in public, quite frankly.
September 29th, 2019 at 3:02 AM ^
You’re a sad little person.
October 1st, 2019 at 9:35 AM ^
You are sad.
September 29th, 2019 at 7:49 AM ^
Aww poor guy, that must have been a really traumatic experience for you, seeing a human being act like a human being and not some cyborg whose sole purpose in life is to get their head smashed in for your entertainment.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:14 PM ^
I don't understand why you'd get angry.
What were you there for?
September 28th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
I slammed the shit outta some beers after that game too.
September 29th, 2019 at 4:11 PM ^
Dang, I’m sorry. Think you’ll ever get over it?
September 28th, 2019 at 9:17 PM ^
BTW, if you see Jim Harbaugh, please tell him I've been looking for this guy. I want to see him back on the sidelines:
September 28th, 2019 at 9:22 PM ^
?? That Jim Harbaugh would kick the current Jim Harbaugh’s rooty poo candy ass and then eat a whole milk steak afterwards and laugh about it
September 28th, 2019 at 10:49 PM ^
And probably give himself a stroke in a few more years. Seriously though, losing your shit doea not mean good coaching. Being well prepared, having the right strategy, effective roster managment and properly developing players does.
September 30th, 2019 at 1:17 PM ^
With a side of the finest jelly beans, raw.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:29 PM ^
This is such a stupid narrative. As if Harbaugh yelling at refs is going to make the team play better.
And it’s not even true. He went ballistic at the refs in the Army game after the call that stole the fumble return TD against us. Nobody ever bothers to mention that.
A little sideline emotion simply has no effect on what goes on in practice and there’s no data or testimony to suggest that there is some correlation. We’ve heard that he doesn’t give rousing speeches, but anybody who watched the Amazon series already knew that.
Sideline demeanor just isn’t a big deal.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:38 PM ^
September 28th, 2019 at 9:56 PM ^
I don't know man. Nick Saban gets pretty emotional. You ever see those neck veins standing out?You ever see him go off on a coach or player?
September 28th, 2019 at 10:17 PM ^
And Bill Cower was a very emotional coach. It seemed he was all emotion.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:30 PM ^
And Tony Dungy wasn’t. Everyone has their own style

He did the QB hitting thing to Shea before the game today. I feel like he does that every game. I also think having Gattis' energy on the sidelines was good for everybody. Let JH be the CEO and plan the big picture & let Gattis & Brown run those units and motivate them.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
Let's see how meaningful Gattis' energy next week before we get too excited. Rutgers is Rutgers, afterall.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
Shea was probably on the golf course
September 28th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
Meanwhile, Shea is at the putting green.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
Harbaugh would put him at D tackle
September 28th, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
Harbaugh would put him at D tackle
September 28th, 2019 at 9:16 PM ^
Hurts would be playing worse than Threet if he had Harbaugh coaching him,
QBs come here to regress and leave broken men under Harbaugh.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:20 PM ^
You might be the dumbest fucker on this board.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:29 PM ^
That's saying a lot after the last couple of weeks.
