We've got time to come up with something good for Hope vs. Rod Part 2
I don't know about you, but I lost all respect for Danny Hope after his classless comments after the Mich/Pudue game in The Big House this past year. And from what I read after the fact, a lot of Purdue fans did as well.
Since I am apparently a vengeful person with too much time on his hands until the 2010 season starts, I thought I would poll the many creative minds of MGoBlog for their input. AFTER we beat Purdue at their place next year, what could RichRod say to Danny Hope? To get it out of the way, I know the right and classy thing to do is beat Purdue by 50 at their place in 2010, shake hands at the end of the game, and wish the coach and team good luck in their game for the following week.
Having said that, let's have some fun with this! Bonus points will be awarded for any creative graphics.

He gains nothing from returning the favor to Hope except additional unwarranted scrutiny and bad press.
just paste his team on the field, look to shake his hand after the game with a shit-eating grin on his face, and move on to the post game interviews with said grin.
I hope RR shakes Hopes hand and says "Good game, players played hard, etc." something along those lines.
Let the play on the field speak for itself. Plus there is enough negative talk around our program as it is. I like the positive approach and keeping it classy.
Nothing would be better than to win by 50 or so...definitely and obviously running up the score but just shake Danny Hope's hand and move on. That's the Michigan man approach; Danny Hope isn't worth any extra effort.

Rich should tell Hope that he is surprised Hope's kids didn't end up with down syndrome. That's what I would say if I met him. Oh and I would grow one hell of a mustache so I could say it to him with a big shit eating grin with a warm lip cover on top.

I wouldn't mind Roundtree being the captain that week though...
this is stupid. not only in regards to "creative contest to get danny hope realgood" but the idea that there should be any reaction whatsoever by RR if/when UM wins. to have him call out Hope and then do something equally stupid this season is petty and not something anybody on here, i would hope, would like the coach to represent. i would say quiet class has 10x more value than a good "lulz zinger lulz."
This is all in good fun, we all know RR is class and more than likely will shake hands and jog off the field, but I'd love for him to say "looks like you guys ran out of steam.. "

My original post was clear that this was just for fun, and that I wasn't advocating a classless reaction. I also want the program and staff to exhibit the utmost class in all circumstances (and I think we do).
This was just for fun...I know it's pointless, but about the same as discussing all of the in-game strategy, who's going to start where, what should we have done differently to win that game, Tate vs. Denard, etc. We can't affect change on the field, but we talk about it because we enjoy it and are passionate about it. It's something we do because it can bring about discussion and sometimes humor. Lighten up!

That Coach Rod would simply shake his hand and say "Good game". During the hand shake Coach Rod would look Coach Hope directly in the eyes with a gaze that permeates the soul and that stare would say " I see who are and what you have, and I am better". I don't think he would ever have to bring it up publicly, because at every coach's meeting, press conference, or anywhere else that the two will ever meet again, Coach Rod can give him that look and they both will know he owns a piece of that man.
But this would be nice:
Fake a kneel-down at the end of the game with a big lead, and pitch the ball to Roundtree on an end-around.

I was once walking around Michigan Stadium at halftime and saw some drunk Purdue asshole yelling "BOILER UP" repeatedly as loud as he could. I walked up to him, told him "Boiler This" and gave him the finger. Was it logical? No. Sensible? No. Satisfying? Yes.
I suggest RR does the same.

I have tickets for this road game and am looking forward to the show. An onside kick and a hook and lateral are both mandatory for that game.
