Visitors this weekend
I put together my weekly visitors list, and this week's is another doozy.
Seth mentioned on the front page that 2023 Notre Dame safety signee Brandyn Hillman is now taking a visit to Michigan after being released from his NLI.
By my count right now, there are thirteen (13!!!) 4- and 5-star players from the 2023/2024 classes visiting this week/weekend, including quarterback Jadyn Davis and edge player Dylan Stewart, both of whom are 5-star prospects.
Here's the LINK if you want to see the full list, which I'm updating multiple times a day as more info comes out.
It’s 50 degrees outside right now. It’s going to drop and feel absolutely freezing tomorrow and Sunday with gusting winds before being back in the 50s all next week. Because of course.
When Chris Partridge is around, it's always sunny and 75 degrees.
Ron - that was part of what I was thinking. Couldn't it be 60 and sunny with a gentle breeze - for once?
Hoping they all have a great visit - and, realize how special of a place Michigan is.
Go Blue!
P.S. always remember the alphabet - "ABC" - Always Be Closing. Here's a link to the scene from Glengarry Glen Ross: https://www.google.com/search?q=always+be+closing&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS819US819&sxsrf=AJOqlzWQeCyZaUsUkxAxmSEzoiBg-JFjzg:1679057677339&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwis56ijgeP9AhWPN0QIHbecC8cQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=909&bih=816&dpr=1#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:c0b897eb,vid:Q4PE2hSqVnk
There's still plenty of time for that weather forecast to change; this is Michigan.

TBM, thanks…
Yup yup. Oh well if these guys are deciding based on weather, our chances would take a hit regardless of the weather this weekend.

Blue going gray refers to the winter sky. 90 days without the sun.
That's why I live in the Panhandle of Florida!
We'll check back with you around July and August.

Sweet, I had myself all psyched up to do a bunch of chainsaw work this weekend, cleaning up from Ice-mageddon a month ago.
But it can wait, I ain't gonna freeze doing it.

There's an expectation that Upper Midwest weather is cold and shitty in March. As well, the season is played in the fall.

This is for the best. Let there be no lies between Ann Arbor and these young men.
just stay inside. don’t need Harbaugh going outside and suddenly getting an idea about burgers for everyone
Let’s land some stars!
Thanks, Magnus.
Brady Prieskorn is another big name expected in this weekend
Until Davis commits, I’m going to just assume he’s gonna do us dirty a la domani Jackson or Terrell Pryor.
Did Jackson really do us dirty? I thought it was always a close recruitment between M and USC and that there were fears that maybe Will Johnson would join Jackson out west.

I understand your fear, but Pryor != Jackson.

We didn't need TP.
Doing the big visitor weekend on the weekend of UM’s Pro Day is pretty genius of whoever planned it
Can we land 23 - 4&5 star players this class?
Not only can we, but we might too.

Any recruits in particular that we should be on commit watch for?
Nobody from this weekend's list seems like they have an imminent commitment coming, but I could see Blake Frazier or Jadyn Davis committing soon.
I added in-state TE Brady Prieskorn and Ohio CB Aaron Scott, Jr. this morning. The list keeps getting better.
+1 Magnus, always enjoy reading your visitor TTB links/updates.
Thanks Magnus. I read your scouting report on Jadyn Davis and the line about how he would benefit playing behind an excellent offensive line made me smile. If he pulls the trigger as expected, we should be in for a very fun ride.
Obviously, Bryce Underwood would be an enormous, enormous get as well. It'd certainly be nice to be Bama-esque in having 5 star qbs lined up one after another.
I think it's going to be tough for Michigan to get back-to-back studs. None of those guys want to come in and sit for a year, especially at a school that really doesn't have a great track record of developing quarterbacks in the current regime. If I were a QB, I would be willing to go sit at Alabama or USC right now, because Saban/Riley do wondrous things with quarterbacks. If I'm virtually anywhere else...I might as well go somewhere with a clear path to playing time.

100 percent agree but I want to cling to magic thinking anyway. Speaking of, I'm hoping that McCarthy makes a huge leap this year which would help build the narrative that Michigan is a good place for quarterbacks to develop.
