Visitors this weekend

Submitted by Magnus on March 17th, 2023 at 8:30 AM

I put together my weekly visitors list, and this week's is another doozy.

Seth mentioned on the front page that 2023 Notre Dame safety signee Brandyn Hillman is now taking a visit to Michigan after being released from his NLI.

By my count right now, there are thirteen (13!!!) 4- and 5-star players from the 2023/2024 classes visiting this week/weekend, including quarterback Jadyn Davis and edge player Dylan Stewart, both of whom are 5-star prospects.

Here's the LINK if you want to see the full list, which I'm updating multiple times a day as more info comes out.

It’s 50 degrees outside right now. It’s going to drop and feel absolutely freezing tomorrow and Sunday with gusting winds before being back in the 50s all next week. Because of course.

Ron - that was part of what I was thinking.  Couldn't it be 60 and sunny with a gentle breeze - for once?

Hoping they all have a great visit - and, realize how special of a place Michigan is.

Go Blue!

P.S. always remember the alphabet - "ABC" - Always Be Closing.   Here's a link to the scene from Glengarry Glen Ross:  https://www.google.com/search?q=always+be+closing&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS819US819&sxsrf=AJOqlzWQeCyZaUsUkxAxmSEzoiBg-JFjzg:1679057677339&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwis56ijgeP9AhWPN0QIHbecC8cQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=909&bih=816&dpr=1#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:c0b897eb,vid:Q4PE2hSqVnk

Thanks Magnus. I read your scouting report on Jadyn Davis and the line about how he would benefit playing behind an excellent offensive line made me smile. If he pulls the trigger as expected, we should be in for a very fun ride.

Obviously, Bryce Underwood would be an enormous, enormous get as well. It'd certainly be nice to be Bama-esque in having 5 star qbs lined up one after another.

I think it's going to be tough for Michigan to get back-to-back studs. None of those guys want to come in and sit for a year, especially at a school that really doesn't have a great track record of developing quarterbacks in the current regime. If I were a QB, I would be willing to go sit at Alabama or USC right now, because Saban/Riley do wondrous things with quarterbacks. If I'm virtually anywhere else...I might as well go somewhere with a clear path to playing time.
