^^^ this!!! I agree with everything you've said. However, my suspicion is that if Hill comes to Michigan (big if?) he's not going to be a "traditional QB" but more of a "offensive weapon." Again, if he comes, its a very unique and short-term situation. Having him outbattle O'Korn doesn't really serve much of a purpose -- unless he's heads and shoulders above him, as we might have a similar "slow start" like we saw from Rudock. If the O'Korn hype is justified, he needs to play for two full seasons as Peters is groomed. But, no reason to waste athletic and leadership talent such as Hill possesses as a back-up. Obviously just a hunch, but I think Harbaugh is gonna pull out something very special with Hill.

Virgina's record as been terrible but it isn't as devoid of talent as you think. It's poor ACC record is a reflection of Mike London's poor coaching and player development (ala Brady Hoke), in addition to having a ridiculously challenging out of conference schedule (UCLA, ND, Boise State). For the past two years many of UVA's losses were by single digits and often by last minute collapses after playing well enough to beat the opponent until the last minute. They had a ranked UCLA and BYU deads to rights on the road last year, as well as top 10 Notre Dame this year. ND only won on a broken play, last second 50 yd td bomb as time expired. Point being, a good coach may be able to do some damage with the roster. It will have lots of upperclassmen and an all ACC running back in Smoke Mizzell.   Mike London's downfall was mostly on atrocious management of the QB position. Hill would be an instant starter having to beat out a guy who threw 17 ints and was 10th in QBR in the ACC last year (but still threw 20 td's so there are playmakers a the skill positions) He would have some interesting weapons..at least what he had at BYU.

Actually, I think it's a great get for UVa.  If he can bring some of his staff and get a QB not made of glass, he can do some damage as a spoiler while he builds that program.

I'm rooting for him.  ND will be running out of patsies to play in the ACC.

Right now, I'm rooting for Cleveland to win their sweepstakes.  That news would melt Cbus.  Never happening though
