The beltline sucks, as does Northern Virginia (Alexandria and just south). But it is a straight shot on I-64 and once you are on US-29 (after you get through Manasas I think) the drive is really pretty.

We moved to Charlottesville a few years ago. I continue to be amazed by the number of our friends who are graduates of UVA. They all seem to want to find a way back.

Charlottesville is really cool in in ways similar to Ann Arbor, but with a little more southern charm and is situated in VA wine and horse country. Beautfiful area.

A lot of nice wineries (my wife used to work for Oakencroft) in the area, and the wines are getting pretty good despite the difficult weather (humidity and rain). Some are really pretty, like Afton Mountain and Barboursville, and all are very welcoming. Horton also used to make some good vino. Decent ski resort at Wintergreen too (but the winery was pretty marginal last I was there. Great history throughout the area as well. Few places around that are nicer than Charlottesville.

He's a great hire for UVA. He'll do well there and he'll have better access to recruits, being that he doesn't have to only rely on Mormon kids to attend.

Who were wrong about Harbaugh in both 2011 and 2014. Even if they are talking (which I'm inclined to doubt), I won't believe this happens until there's a signed contract.

Even if they *are* talking, the most likely explanation is that Meyer or his agent want a big fat contract extension.
