It's wild to me that people read that story and worry about cancel culture, but not focused on the context of the football players losing their job prospects.
I can't imagine becoming wealthy and having that level of impact and using it to punish kids who don't stand up for the Eyes of Texas or w/e the song is. This just goes to show that there are some rich people out there who absolutely don't deserve their wealth. It's a shame we can't have a system that rewards talent and effort instead of being born to wealthy parents.
