MSU pays the price for keeping all those plays in reserve for us. Honestly when they were calling real plays they looked like they’d wipe the floor, but then they had to keep most of the playbook closed and they wound up scoring only 13 points.

Arizona is a tough place to play for Midwest teams. That’s why I thought this outcome was possible. STAEE fans should be mad at their AD for scheduling this game like we were last week. I live in SoCal and it’s late here. Asking kids to play until 2:20 AM their time is unreasonable. But, yeah, fuck Sparty.

Seemed like ASU had guys running free downfield all game long. If they hit even 1 or 2 of those this game is over long ago. Wilkins has a great arm and did enough to win but a more accurate passer carves up that secondary.

I agree with this. There was at least 4-5 times Wilkins overthrew an open receiver on a deep pass and he still finished with a pretty decent statline. They were moving the ball all game but couldn't finish drives until the end.
