Yesterday Rivals put out their updated Top 150 list for basketball. It was a good day for Michigan recruits as 3 saw upward movement and 2 with big jumps.

  • #57 Brandon Johns, up 8 spots from #65
  • #85 Colin Castleton, up 42 spots from #127
  • #93 David DeJulius, up 36 spots from #129

The last two Michigan recruits aren't on the list. Adrien Nunez didn't make the cut while Ignas Brazdeikis is a 5 star recruit who went to HS in Canada and thus is not on the Top 150 list. If he were on the list, as a 5 star he'd be somewhere in the top 30 as the lowest 5 star currently is #29.

247 I think still has an update to do but when the new composite comes out expect this to be Michigan's highest rated recruiting class under Beilein, and probably since the Fab 5.

Other top 150 B1G recruits:

  • #22 Jalen Smith (Maryland), 5 star, highest rated B1G recruit without knowing Iggy's ranking
  • #28 Ayo Dosunmu (Illinois), 5 star
  • #38 Aaron Wiggins (Maryland)
  • #41 Joe Wieskamp (Iowa)
  • #49 Jerome Hunter (Indiana), former Michigan target
  • #56 Daniel Oturu (Minnesota)
  • #58 Marcus Bingham (MSU), highest rated MSU recruit 1 spot behind Michigan's second highest rated recruit
  • #62 Foster Loyer (MSU)
  • #63 Miller Kopp (NW)
  • #64 Pete Nance (NW), former Michigan target
  • #67 Luther Muhammad (OSU)
  • #72 Eric Ayala (Maryland)
  • #75 Jaedon LeDee (OSU)
  • #82 Tevian Jones (Illinois)
  • #97 Gabe Brown (MSU)
  • #99 Robert Phinisee (Indiana)
  • #104 Montez Mathis (Rutgers)
  • #109 Thomas Kithier (MSU)
  • #111 Aaron Henry (MSU)
  • #114 Damezi Anderson (Indiana)
  • #117 Eric Hunter (Purdue)
  • #124 Trevion Williams (Purdue)
  • #127 Jake Forrester (Indiana)
  • #128 Serrel Smith (Maryland)
  • #132 Ron Hunter Jr (Rutgers)
  • #133 Jordan Lathon (NW)
  • #140 Myles Dread (PSU), 3 star
  • #142 Duane Washington Jr (OSU)
  • #149 Alan Griffin (Illinois)

Wisconsin and Nebraska are the only two B1G schools missing from the list

Good luck getting on the floor in your first 3 years then kid. Izzo will yell at him a bunch because he will get pushed around on the defensive end and then he will become just a shooter. Then he will get benched for missing some shots and his confidence will be shot. We might as well crown him the next Russell Byrd except shorter

That would be a very exploitable starting backcourt. Z blew by Winston at will and finished at the rim even with a rim protector there in JJ.

I think Sparty will be pretty bad next year.

Not to mention cruising through the state tournament. In the championship he singlehandedly outscored my high school... Dude can ball, hopefully he gets slowed down at the next level

Castleton will be the best player in the class. 6'11 guys that are elite shot blockers and can shoot 3's don't grow on trees.

I hate to say this as fact, but, no he won't.  It is extremely difficult for me to even see him as being the 3rd best if everything turns out well for him.

I strongly believed DDJ would be the best in this class for some time.  Until i watched the most recent vids of Iggy.  Im still not crazy about the kids D, but holy shit his handles suprised me.  He draws contact so well like Brunson did, and has great balance.  And he is solidly built bull at 6'7".

Im not as giddy on Johns as most are on here - i could see Castelton being the 3rd best possibly.  But its still a stretch. But Iggy offensively is really, really good.  Real good.
