It could be almost as good a day for Michigan as yesterday! Any wavering recruits were obviously not discouraged by the performance against the SEC East Champion Gators.

Set to announce:

Getting Delance and Davis on board will put Michigan well on it's way to develping the monster OL classes like Stanford has produced. Christian McCaffrey is a unique talent, but those holes he was running through were sizeable. Kareem Walker must be licking his chops.

Hopefully, the game will coincide with a PSU throttling of Georgia, and Nauta leaning Blue as well!

Go Blue!

this board sure does have a bunch of quitters...we may not get either, but you guys treat twitter like the Pope's word...guys always leave smoke screens or 'expers' read the tea leaves wrong. How many players went to bed Team A and woke up Team B.

We offer a great package for targeted recruits, and with that, we will always be enticing to recruits who have our hat on the table. Maybe for once a surprise will come our way

Is that from the twitter accounts, hacked twitter accounts or fake twitter accounts? I believe what gets posted on there even less than the main stream media.

Even if they go elsewhere, it's great to be in the mix, and have Michigan in the discussion on the air. You can't buy that type of publicity, outside of the SEC.

I thought it was 1 p.m. before today, too. I only found out when I did some research for my post this morning.

Also, the UA website also does not have the proper rosters (they only have a listing of all players, not the two separate teams' rosters). So maybe the website just really sucks.

Rumor has it that mom won out and Delance will not be ending up in our class and is staying close to home at Texas. This came recently from several different inside-ish people, but obviously nothing is set in stone until he signs. Just to temper anyone's expectations. Also, it looks like they still want at least one more Tackle in the class and Davis is a Guard only, so he's likely going to Maryland. Sucks to not have enough room for everyone, but we already have two beast guards in Bredeson and Onwenu and we're in front for the #1 center in next year's class in Cesar Ruiz.

went from sure thing to very, very little chance. Davis is going to Maryland and I'm not sure how much of that is our doing with possible assumptions of getting Delance. It seems like Davis was going to stay home but had we pushed for him you never know....ya know? I am bracing for the announcers to take a dump all over us after they both don't pick us (ha). They'll talk like we were insanely heavy favorites and were blindsided, etc. It's coming.

Ya i honestly don't understand with Texas i know Delance is from there and Texas is a big program but Strong has been rumored out the door forever now.  I don't think he will get fired this year unless Texas makes a run for Chip Kelly or somebody of his calibur but they have been playing horrible under Strong.

From what I read, his Mom really wants him close to home and UT is literally down the street from where he lives. So he's grown up and his immeadiate family lives right there. It'd be like a kid from Ann Arbor or insert surrounding city around Ann Arbor going to Michigan over another top school they really like, obviously not unheard of, but there are more intagibles that would make him decide to go to Texas than just football. Nauta is similar, even though he's going to school in Florida too.

Per Tom VH

  • RB Devwah Whaley pregame
  • OL Terrance Davis first quarter
  • WR Drake Davis second quarter
  • OL Jean Delance half time
  • LB Rahshaun Smith fourth quarter

The latest I read on Delance (I don't remember the source for the quote) was along the lines of:

"My Mom wants me down the street, but it's up to me to decide what's best for me, and for my future."

All the best to these kids, whatever they decide. I can't imagine being that age, with that much attention on my personal decision, dealing with all of the pressures coming for various angles.

The fact that Delance would consider going to a program where the head coach will likely be gone by next year, if not by NSD, shows the pressure he is under. Or maybe it's just a love for TX, which is understandable. Great school, and probably the way to go, if he plans on spending the rest of his life in that area.

And the teams are fired up. Late last night rumblings we're starting to surface at the sports bar that there could be 3-4 players de committing from various schools.

Still hearing Ole Miss crap that I don't like from the hotel all last night. Stay posted

Ole Miss is going to be losing quite a few high priced players this offseason. They should
have plenty of money to throw around this year.

Don't like our chances against them for any players head to head.
