Wish it wasn't right on top of an important basketball game. At least some people probably have to pick between which to attend.

UM-MSU hockey games in NHL arenas are capable of selling out and being absolutely electrict. Not close enough to know if they've come close to selling out the LCA yet (MSU being terrible is certainly a handicap) but it's a great event.

Meh. Munn can have a good atmosphere when Michigan is there and it's a big game (and there was a stretch back in the day where Michigan just could not win there at all) but it's a pretty dull arena. And a good UM-MSU neutral game, when well sold and especially when both teams are good, has a great atmosphere.

Of course the "when both teams are good" clause hasn't been true in some time now.

Wow. So a really pretty Luke Hughes transition play turns into a nice pass turns into a tumbling puck and a scramble and then a triple-deflection goal. Weird play that went from pretty to scrappy quickly.

And it's Duke with the goal.

Exactly right.  I was actually quite pleased with our play, we just missed a ton of good looks.  I'll give OSU some credit for hitting a number of tough shots.  Feels like we would win 7 out of 10 of those games.  And yes, the refs were pretty terrible in that one, particularly in the second half.  Apparently Liddel and Key can just bury shoulders into defenders but if you try to hold your ground you get called for a foul.  Sorry, got sidetracked.

Let's go blue!
