It's a team with a lot of new guys who have been good defensively elsewhere so we'll see if they can figure stuff out over the year. If not then obviously there are systemic problems but especially early on in the year things can go away.
We'll see against Memphis. Even if they lose that game if they play better defensively then I'll chalk this up more to a bad night.
This is still a bubble team but I look around the league and outside of Purdue and MSU nobody looks particularly formidable and all are susceptible to bad games.

..And yet Saddi still has a job because of Juwan. not calling him to be fired, but there's a reason why he's STILL not a head coach. We haven't seen a good defense since Beilein who no way would put up with this shit.

They have a lot of guys back from last year's squad so they aren't wet behind the ears. Michigan definitely didn't have their 'A' game, but part of that was that they played with a lot of energy and they really wanted this one. You don't get beat 94-86 and put all the blame on your guys. They were a bad match-up for us, but maybe they have something going on; it will be interesting to see how they do this season. On to the next one!

Are basketball program is a joke we clearly don't want to win. Honestly I don't care about basketball.
I do care deeply about football so can we please save the football program? Which means keeping Jim Harbaugh.
Michigan is not an easy place to win at period. Jim needs a contact extension ASAP.

Despite all of the donuts crammed down our mouth this was a new & better defensive team. Well, it aint and at some point the defensive coaches at some point have to be held accountable.

15-25 from the line, yet another stellar performance there as well. Good to see we prioritize fundamentals such as ball control, boxing out, rebounding, free throw shooting, defense, etc.

Only saw the second half on a shitty stream. The effort seemed lacking big time. Couldn’t box out to save our lives. There seemed to be a completely different energy than the first 3 games. I can’t believe they were leading 20-5. What happened to them after that? Hoping to come out with the same energy we had to start the season next week and pick up some nice wins to make up for this blemish on our resume.

I watched the whole game, looked like Mich got up quick then started feeling themselves and relaxed a bit, then LB started to get hot and Mich found themselves on their heels and didnt quite recover.

I was at the game. The effort was dogshit, except for Williams and Jackson. I asked people around me if there was a virus or something going through the team, because the team looked gassed for significant stretches.

I thought the same exact thing. Being sick with something was the only explanation for what I was seeing.
We just straight up looked deflated and gave no effort on defense, boxing out, rebounding. Seems like something was up.

I’m as frustrated as the next guy with everything going on but Christ some of you get a grip. Apparently this one game in November is gonna dictate the entire rest of the season? Game sucked ass, not happy at all, but already seen more from this team so far to tell us there’s more promise than last year. Put this one in the rear view and move on.

It's just hard to recover from this type of loss. If they make this just a blip on the radar and play like they did the first 3 games it's possible.
First glance this team felt like the pre covid start 2019 before Livers went down.

Depends on what they do in the Bahamas and against Oregon. The Bigten will be challenging enough, you can’t have 4+ losses in the non conference.

It took us forever to get into the blue lot. By time we got to our seats UM was upon 17-5. From the moment I started watching the game we got outscored by 20.
