Twitter sources: FAU C Vlad Goldin committing to Michigan

Debated posting because it's kind of a sketchy source, but it's good news so I choose to believe it.  Plus I didn't want the NCAA's bullshit at the top of the posts anymore.

SOURCE: FAU center Vlad Goldin will commit to Michigan. The 7-foot-1, 240-pound center took a big step forward last year, averaging 15.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 25 minutes per game. Big get for Michigan coach Dusty May, who coached Goldin the last 3 years at FAU.

I wish these young men would stop carefully considering their futures and instead just all suddenly commit to Michigan so we not-so-young men and women could stop obsessing about their decisions.

Think of the children? Nah. Think of those of us who long ago were children!

Read in a couple places (though I thought one was here on the front page, which it wasn't).. that they wouldn't be likely to take 2 7-footers who are true centers..  i would think it wouldnt be the worst thing for Michigan... they don't play the same way... but I could imagine as a transfer, I don't know if I'd go somewhere with someone who I'd have to share minutes with..

I saw Wolf play a couple games for Yale. He could be a stretch 4, but I wouldn’t play him many minutes with Goldin. It’s just that we’ve been so thin depth-wise at center ever since Austin Davis graduated that our centers play really tentatively on defense, afraid of getting in foul trouble. It would be nice to have 2 solid 5s to share ~45-50 minutes per game.

You're not wrong! I don't know enough about how Dusty likes to make lineups at this point, so no clue what's reasonable.

As a transfer, I'd say its a tough sell to share minutes as a 7 foot big.. especially after the year ooga Edey had... not to say they're anything like him, but... it shows what can be possible, even in this era of positionless bball.

I hope we get both if they're good players. we havent had good depth at anything in the past few years... shooting, centers, point guards, defen.. meh. we dont need to b* anymore. got what i wanted, now lets see if May can deliver.

Careful here....this account you posted from has a blue check mark (which no longer signify verified but merely a paid account) but also has only roughly 2000 followers. Could still be true but just be wary here
