I'm pretty sure the dingo ate your baby.

Let's not jinx anything by proclaiming victory. I like being the underdog, to the defending champs, Alabama.
August 28th, 2012 at 7:24 AM ^
this is Michigan FERGODSAKES!......so it's just a matter of time.
August 28th, 2012 at 12:14 AM ^
Beat Bama! Can't wait for MICHIGAN football!

so yummy and sweet.
Also, RVB just swallows up Persa (?) in one of the Evanston highlights.
August 28th, 2012 at 11:08 AM ^
How nice of an appetizer for the Bama game would a Fried Spartichoke be the night before?
Also- what are the spreads for those 2 games. Are we still -12.5 for Bama? Anyone know the Boise-Sparty spread?
August 28th, 2012 at 12:29 AM ^
I'm very good at staying "in the bubble" and watch the entire recording of games I miss live (only road games, haven't missed a home game in 11 years) commercials and all, to keep the situation as real as possible.
But if I go to the Tigs, game, all I will think about is the football game.... If I stay home and watch Michigan, I miss the last "if we win this were only ___ games out" game.
Help?
Please?
August 28th, 2012 at 12:32 AM ^
If you go to the Tigers game, there will be people talking about the football game. I'm pretty sure there is no way you get outta there without hearing the score.

August 28th, 2012 at 10:51 AM ^
yeah, and i wouldnt be surprised if they had the score on the video board between innings, or even a PA annoucement if Michigan is winning late.
August 28th, 2012 at 11:13 AM ^
I can see them having the UM-Bama score on the board permanently during the game. I've never been to that ballpark so I'm not sure how big the boards are, but if there's space I can see them having a running score with time remaining in the game and all. There's not going to be a way to avoid it. It'll probably be on some of the concourse TVs too.

Easy choice. Bring the technology with you to watch the Alabama game while you're actually at the Michigan game. Also, I think the White Sox will win, so why would you want to go? (Disclaimer: I'm a Sox fan, so of course I think they'll win!)
At least you have a choice. I have to be at a wedding reception. It technically starts at 7pm, but the food is being served right at 8pm. The only silver lining is that maybe around 8:30 or 9pm, I can go to the bar in the reception hall and watch the game. And, by 9:30pm, I can go home, 5 minutes away, and watch the second half.

Get married outside of college football season Steve, do straighten out the groom on that and remind him he does not want his anniversary to coincide with an important college football game. A man has to have his priorities!
August 28th, 2012 at 8:32 AM ^
Agreed. My brother was once asked to be a groomsman for one of his friends' weddings. That wedding fell on the day of the Ohio State game. My brother declined. Priorities are good to have.

My son's due date was on 9/1, and like any true Michigan fan he found a way out of that engagement and came last Sunday instead.

He's a Navy Helicopter Pilot who just finished up all his training. Belonging to the Navy, they tell him when he can have leave and when he can't. What are ya gonna do . . . it is what it is. As for me, it could be worse, because I still should be able to see more than half the game.
August 28th, 2012 at 2:56 PM ^
I got married December 3rd specifically to miss football season. My (future) brother-in-law was getting married in June and we didn't want to get married close to that, so that left fall or later. Can't do fall because of football! So that left sometime between the OSU game and Xmas.

Football>baseball.. Michigan>Tigers..
12 games/year, with this being a huge game> ?? what was that game?
I don't get the conflict?
August 28th, 2012 at 12:34 AM ^
Baseball hasn't been good since the mid-90's. Michigan football has been good for 200 years. Easy choice.
August 28th, 2012 at 12:43 AM ^
Michigan football did start 5 years before the university did haha.

which implies a win% between 90 and 92.5
August 28th, 2012 at 12:16 PM ^
Moneyline is at -500 right now, meaning you'd want to bet if you think Bama has an 83.3% chance or better.. Real odds would be ~-450, given Michigan is +400.
Either way, they aren't QUITE as big of favorites as stated.
