the man's STFU button doesn't seem to work

There is wild speculation flying and conspiracy theories abound over the FB season. I think Deace is finished once his information is found to be untrue. He has brought animosity from parents, players and the Admins of every other Big Ten school. Who cares that OSU is crying but some of the other schools have decent fan bases.

Your and offensive jerk.

This is top notch grammar satire. Love it.

Well, that's one source.

I remember a time when "STFU" was supposed to be reserved for political opinions. Let's go back to that and keep this blog just sports.

A Freep link and a Trump tweet?
Now that takes brass, Dot.

Anything that man says, does, or tweets is for one purpose and one purpose only. The enhancement of his own image. Any call he may have had with Kevin Warren was solely to pander to the multiple swing states residing in the Big Ten.
There’s a reason he’s not on the horn with the PAC-12 commissioner. There’s no reason for him to appeal to fans residing in states that largely despise him and won’t vote for him no matter what he does.

Trump was the first Republican to win Michigan since 1992; 24 years! He may not win Michigan this year but lets not pretend he is largely despised here as well.
You don't think Michigan State and Michigan football doesn't matter to our citizens?
September 7th, 2020 at 7:18 AM ^
He won by like half a percent against one of the least popular candidates the Democrats have ever run. That’s not exactly a glowing endorsement. Most people I know are hold your nose and vote for him types.

Arizona and Colorado are purplish, but I have a sense their populations aren’t as interested in CFB as Michigan’s is.
September 7th, 2020 at 1:13 AM ^
The reason would be the PAC12 is full of blue states, so he won't bother there. But you have IA, IN, NE and OH which are red states and some pressure will be put on the B1G by the schools in these states.

Was trying to post this earlier but for some reason I lost the ability to create content. Hmmmm
September 6th, 2020 at 10:48 PM ^
Glad he found time in between holes to tweet this important news.

One should not tweet from the taint

I have one for you. I am a taxpayer in the state of Michigan. My family are all taxpayers in the state of Michigan. My grandparents families were all taxpayers in the state of Michigan. Citizens of Michigan contribute to the universities in our state and so while I know non-alumni won't have the same access or input as alumni; they still have a voice.
I think US presidents should have more important things to do rather than interfere with college sports but Trump isn't the first president to involve himself in the US sports scene. The question we should all be asking is if the Big 10 is gearing up to play football then why is Michigan and Michigan State unable or unwilling to play and is the alumni willing to accept it? I know many of the taxpaying non-alumni base are not willing to accept this.

Michigan’s AD is basically self-sustaining and receives no funding from the state. At most, I don’t think they property taxes on the property they own. So maybe indirectly? But that’s more of a local issue. Michigan itself receives so little in the way of public support from the state that it’s basically a private university in all but name.

OK mayn. Ok. Fine. I just wish I could get close enough to punch [the rest REDACTED... Life is too short ... may we all see some M games soon we can agree to that I think]

The proper question is why the Big Ten is allowing a politician to subject their members to outside pressure on what is and should remain an epidemiological decision.
What you can do if you don't accept the situation is all political behavior: protest, take this into account when voting, etc. But you can't make the university change course, so it's probably time to accept reality here.
September 7th, 2020 at 1:09 AM ^
Hasn't everybody figured this guy out yet?
He calls out people/organizations/countries sometimes absurdly and sometimes not, gets them all bunged up, gets other people all bunged up, and creates a situation. He does this to put pressure on those to make decisions.
Those that hate him, hate this, and those that don't, love it.
He does not have much of a STFU button.
September 7th, 2020 at 3:09 AM ^
Its about votes. Fear-mongering and politicizing football.
September 7th, 2020 at 4:16 AM ^
Trump has sold our fighting guys out. In his words and his acts. It is shameful. He has never fought, has never played, has nothing at stake in this fight but the ego of winning a vote should be taken serious as death here man. A coward. May the truth prevail here. May history even the score.
September 7th, 2020 at 10:13 AM ^
"He has never fought..."
I won't hold it against him that he didn't fight. I never 'fought' either, if 'fighting' is shooting a live round in anger, despite spending months on end 12 miles (or so) off the Kola Peninsula during the Cold War. What he did do, though is purposely avoid a legal draft. Draft dodging is not excusable, and is something I find particularly vile. Aside from the host of other things he says and does (and did) that I find vile.
Lets just not give him a pass for dodging the draft.

Just want to note that the guy who lied his way out of Vietnam but thinks that my dad and the thousands of Americans who went are suckers (according to Fox News) can go fuck himself.
September 7th, 2020 at 9:25 AM ^
So if the Big Ten decides to start playing football again under what authority could the governor stop it? She couldn’t nix it based just on politics.
September 7th, 2020 at 10:22 AM ^
Dumbest man alive continues to be dumbest man alive.
Hoping him and his criminal enterprise are soundly defeated so he can fuck off for good. That obese piece of shit can’t have more than a few years left in him.

Mark Schlissel deserves to have his position revaluated . His office opens at 8am tomorrow morning. Donors/Alums will be calling tomorrow to let them know how they feel. Our players deserve to play! Do your part!
