Report: Tom Brady expected to sign with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Seems like a pretty good fit.Tampa has 2 outstanding WRs 2 very good TEs and a decent OL

I can see the Bucs going something like 11-5

I hope the Pats have a bunch of years where they finish 4-12 and people can stop saying Bill Belich is the reason why the Pats have been so good ..Bill B is  51-63 as an NFL head coach when Tom Brady wasnt his starting QB including going 10-5 after Brady got hurt

That wouldn't surprise me. I can't speak for the Glazer's reputation in England, and I definitely understand them placing their priorities on teams like Man U. That is a global brand.

Regardless, their reputation in Tampa is pretty bad. Or at least it was prior to yesterday. They've treated their season ticket holders like shit, and they ran off a lot of the franchise's most noteworthy players to ever play there. They've been reaping what they've sewn for the last decade or so, because their product has been crap and no one wants to come and watch it.

Meanwhile across town, the Lightning's owner, Jeff Vinik, is the polar opposite. He's got a winning product, has made a ton of updates to the arena to make for a great fan experience, and perhaps more importantly, he is revitalizing the entire area around the arena. Helping to get the USF Medical Center built right down the street, and young people are starting to flood into living near the arena and downtown Tampa in general.

This was where Russ Thomas would have been licking his chops.  He would catch a Michigan player on the downslope of his career on the cheap.  It would draw fans and they didn't have to accomplish anything. Because his Ohio State loser ass was incapable of accomplishing anything in the front office

Butch Woolfolk, Desmond, Anthony Carter, et al. finished their careers as Lions.

It's really sad though. Is Spot's still open, TB 12 could have been there regularly

think brady wanted the patriots to pay for some big time wr and te help which he didn't have last year and the patriots and belichick wouldn't do it.  so he opted for a team that was already set up with the tools he felt he needed.  we'll see how it plays out.  i hate to have to cheer for the f-ing bucs though.

It's going to be strange to see Brady in another uniform. However, this does give us the ability to likely see at least two Brees vs Brady games, with possibly some flashbacks to that 1999 Michigan vs Purdue game.

2020 NFL - QBs in their 40s are still playing!

They wore the throwbacks against the Saints back in 2012 and I think against Carolina shortly before that.  I think I saw them more recently as well but can’t remember the opponent.

I've been blessed to have watched TB12 for the past 20+ years, starting with a picture perfect September Saturday in 1998 when he won the biggest game of his life over Sparty in the Big House.  Lose that game and who knows..  Great wins against Penn State, OSU and finishing with Bama in the Orange Bowl.

Was in old Foxboro Stadium when Bledsoe went down, his first start against Indy, come back against SD, last regular season game against Miami and finally the Snow Bowl playoff against Oakland.  Then the SB win over St. Louis.  WOW!

20 years of sustained excellence.  All the SB's and AFC championship games.  My kids don't know the Patriots without success and Tom Brady.  The memories are endless.

But like all things, time to come to an end.  Disappointed to see Brady end his career someplace else definitely, but that's professional sports.  Did he have opportunities to end his career at a perfect moment, absolutely, especially after the past 2 SB wins.  But who are we to tell him when enough is enough, he has the right to end when he's ready.  Both Brady and the Pats have to move forward and this seems to be that time.

In a few years we will see Brady inducted to NFL and  Pats HOF and likely a statue in front of Gillette. Tom is the #1 sports legend in New England.  Sunday's at Gillette will never be the same.  Good luck in Tampa.
