Time to increase the heat on the Buckeyes
The Urban thread below coupled with the past behavior of OSU coaches, players, and fans has brought us to the point of increased hatred.
The history of their hatred rife with examples and our response with class needs to come to an end. Do the OSU players stay in Michigan the night before the game and should we look into keeping those scrubs up all night? I would prefer they be exhausted before they hit the field. Send strippers to their rooms, trays full of carb snacks, prank phone calls, etc. Time we leveled up this rivarly.
For everyone rolling their eyes at the mere suggestion; remember their coach once ordered their players to tear down the M club banner. Their citizens cross out every M in a sentence. Our fans and their property is not safe when the game is in Columbus. Tired of these scrubs and their ways.
Time to employ the Michigan difference in making sure their team is uncomfortable and wishing for the game to be over before kickoff.

We once had citizens willing to take up arms and wipe them off the map. This is tame in comparison. Next year we should buy up half their tickets at the Shoe. We have the money. Would be lovely to have their stadium be a home game for us.

we will never be as engaged as their fans. As fans as a whole, we enjoy our team and sports, we don’t live or die based on the outcome of the game. Yes it sucks and we despise losing, but most of us have lives that revolve around something other than football. This is the difference. If the op wants to get drunk and go cause a raucous outside their hotel, go for it. Most of us have way more important things to do.
The game will be over by 3:30, I’ll either be ecstatic or numb to another loss. Either way I’ll be back in to work on Monday, just like any other Monday.

Not sure you've ever seen the movie but you're old like me so you should have by now. And you should at least be able to see the "increase the heat on the buckeyes" and napalm analogue.
Anyway, at the time, Kilgore had no idea what the outcome of the war was going to be, much like we don't know the outcome of the game on Saturday. His telling of the "smells like victory" story shows his bravado and belief in his men and mission. With hindsight to history the "victory" line is absurd but given his time and place in the movie it made complete sense to him and was a display of his belief and part of his motivation to continue the fight against the enemy.
I feel much the same way about Saturday's game and believe we'll have "victory" over the buckeyes. If we lose then you're right, my post ages badly. But if you can't see the correlation right now, before we even play the game I don't know what to tell you.
Regardless, Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family and here's to hoping for a napalm-like victory over the hated buckeyes on Saturday.
