THJ looks like a different player

Submitted by BostonWolverine on

Just been watching the Celtics/Hawks game, and Timmy has had a hell of a 4th quarter. He's got 20 on the game, and he's looking like a legit player.

Frankly, the announcers can't stop talking about him. He's made a key adjustment and started slashing in true Not Just a Shooter(TM) fashion. Anybody else watching? What do y'all see different about his game?

He's definitely been hot the past couple of weeks avg 15 a game. I think he will get more opportunities now with Korver to the Cavs, especially since he is in a contract year. ATL needs to know what they have before they give him a big contract

Tim Hardaway Jr is one of the players from that team I really miss the most. I miss Spike Albrecht and Mitch McGary more because they have the toughness and dedication we aren't seeing out of this current team, but will always love Timmy.

a 94 grade and ranked 93rd overall coming out of high school. Wouldn't exactly call him a late bloomer. In fact he was 9 spots lower than Evan Smotrycz (Sp?). Definitely improved but I wouldn't call him a late bloomer in the same mold as Caris Levert .

But he had a great 4th quarter and my team still won, so go Tim! He actually knows how to play defense now. Credit to the Hawks coaching staff, and Tim's going to get paid this summer!

but I recall a similar thread about a couple good Stauskas games in a row and then meh.  Although he's getting more time and hitting nearly 40 percent of his threes, he still has a PER of under 10, which is really bad.

I wonder if all the NBA flops are contributing to guys not wanting to come to Michigan.  It's a shame because Beilein got those guys drafted way higher than their athleticism would normally have allowed thanks to video game offensive numbers.  At that point, it's up to them to make it.  One could argue they'd have never been drafted if not for Beiliein, but all opposing coaches are probably saying is that Beilein doesn't prepare guys properly for the pros.

Maybe the issue with Beilien is that he's gotten away from recruiting only 1990's NBA All-Stars' sons. Any chance Shawn Kemp or Reggie Miller have sons that are low level 3 star recruits????

Been following his game lately (as it has been great) and I am so glad he is finally coming around. He was the one guy who always looked like a future NBA stud to me out of the Final Four guys.
