He absolutely scored too quick, he even said so on the field after the game. How can you say otherwise? OSU shouldn't have even had a chance at a winning FG....Ruggles and Moody were the best in the Big10 this year. Georgia was very fortunate that Ruggles missed. I know you're not trying to compare JJs last possession with Bennetts. Lets see, JJ starts just shy of the 25 yard line with no timeouts and like 45 secs on the clock. Georgia had timeouts and over 2 mins. Just stop. Once again your blame is misplaced. That was Jim Harbaugh letting clock bleed down before Michigan made it 51-45. That was Michigan's defense giving up a 7 yard run on 2nd and 8, making an easy 3rd and 1 conversion, burning more clock and making Harbaugh burn his remaining timeouts.

Yes we both love Michigan but you keep making excuses for a team that got beat and telling me how Georgia should have played even though they won? Bottom line when you throw 2 pick 6’s you lose Bennett did that in the SEC last year against Bama he learned from that and moved on the same thing JJ will have to do own it and move on. Reverse it if Duggan throws 2 pick 6’s and JJ zero who wins?

Minter was FANTASTIC all year. But he got cornholed this time. TCU has an offense you do your best to contain -- bend don't break. But he seemed to panic, frankly.

That said, our lack of high level pass-rushers revealed itself. The mush/mash/mosh is effective against QBs that are statues, like Stroud. But it doesn't work so effectively against a mobile QB like TCU's. It was too easy for him to break contain.

Did Michigan use a spy on Duggan?  I recall two plays where Duggan eluded a linebacker but in both cases I don't think that linebacker was assigned to Duggan from the start. Barret had 5 tackles, 1 TFL.

I thought most of the D players played well.  Coaches should have prepped them better to recognize TCU's bread and butter play, Duggan rolling right throwing to #1 Johnson crossing the field.

Will there be a UFR? Will there be a comparison of Alex's FFFF: TCU Defense vis-a-vis what Michigan produced on Saturday?

I am not expert enough to identify in realtime, hence asking for expert observations.

It was strange. I think our D is much better than KSU and KSU was beating the little toadies up. I did see a lot of holding that was not called. Two of our players were held on the big blitz that TCU got the TD pass. May be we are just not as fast as big 12 defenses?

it was a tough game, and certainly fans are trying to process the loss... its cliche, but its a game of inches and TCU found those inches and Michigan didn't.

That one pass by Duggan to QJohnson (not the TD), Michigan's blitz just failed to get there because Duggan was pocket savvy and managed to step up to buy him enough time to make the completion.

The QJohnson TD run, Turner just didn't recognize the danger until it was too late, Duggan hit him in stride, and Turner wasn't able to get his hands on Johnson; if it were less than a perfect throw Turner might have had the time to close that gap and make the tackle.

One big TCU completion came off a corner blitz where the safety didn't switch to cover the WR, but not sure why they were blitzing from THAT wide out...the CB was never going to get there in time, much like the Stroud TD strike to Harrison Jr, where the deep safety blitzed...just a bad call.

Make no mistake, Dykes and Riley are really clever offensive coaches, and I expected them to move the ball (afterall, Purdue was able to move it through the air too). Their DC surprised me though - they turned it into a Big 12 game buy shutting down the OLine.

I'll be fascinated to see how TCU fares against Georgia...

Duggan was awful through 3 quarters.  Minter kept gambling every series and it ended up costing us in second half.  We were down 3 points!  We had them in 3rd and 7 and 3rd and 10 and just kept needlessly sending the house without even disguising where the blitz was coming from.  It put us in high risk situations that they were able to capitalize on.

TCU was not passing well and they were without their starting running back.  I will never understand WTF happened in the second half.  Our offense kind of got their act together and we completely shxt the bed on defense.

So confused.

Didn't see so much of the kind of pursuit and gang tackling that characterized M's defense earlier in the regular season.
TCU's ball carriers were getting a lot of yards after contact.
