The former OSU and Miami QB turned WR is now back at UNLV, two years after his former high school coach Tony Sanchez was fired. He still has two years of eligibility.

Martell won two MNCs at Bishop Gorman. While in HS, he committed to Washington, A&M and finally OSU.

The Jordan Elliot principle applies, I think: the crazier the recruitment, the more reason to stay away. Martell is also why I tend to distrust QB recruits from hyper successful HS programs, just because they’re so often surrounded by high end skill talent.

Im sure hes been able to get whatever hes wanted in life with very little effort. I doubt he has learned any lessons here, but minimal effort results in minimal opportunity. His QB1 episodes were very telling when it comes to his personality.

When Fields came in, Tate was,"bring it on." I like that attitude in a QB. But then he transferred before spring practice....never know what could have happened.... maybe he would have improved like Burrows.  Thought you guys had a few transfers as well?

Even if this guy never played he would have been a cancer for the entire OSU team. Fuck those bastards and their never-ending run of good luck.

Well he had that one shining moment against ND and even made the cover of SI. Lot of rain clouds since have come into his life. I wish him well. Maturity often comes as the years pass. And even if he is still an asshole, the damage he can do to team chemistry at wide receiver is much less than at the QB position. I expect the bumps in the road he has experienced have made him a much humbler person today. Not everyone gets a third or 4th chance. I hope, unless he plays against us, he makes the most out of it. Oops.  Had him mixed up with Tate Forcier. My bad. Sorry.

It's too bad, but at this point he should probably focus more on from where, if, and when he is going to graduate because it looks like he will be a prime example of the NCAA commercial slogan that he will be going pro in something other than sports.
