Super Bowl Thread - What's Being Served, Who's going to Win?
Mates,
A bit surprised nobody has done this yet, so I will. With a heavily-leaning group of Brady supporters on this board, the NE Brady's are still favored by 2 1/2 points. For reasons unknown, maybe because of LA's D-line, I could easily see the Rams winning this one. Hoping for a great game.
2 Questions:
1. What is being served at your place/where you are watching, anything special? Beverages of note?
2. Regardless of who you want to win, who do you think will win?
Enjoy the 2 day warm-up, winter returns tomorrow night.

Wow. Big return for the Pats, they're moving the ball on the ground, then a bad throw is tipped up for INT.

I've got a turkey in the oven. Sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce (can), gravy (jar), and a pumpkin cream pie for dessert.
Drinking Sam Adams New England IPA. Always Sam Adams for the Super Bowl whenever the Patriots are in it.
Flipping back and forth between the game and Doctor Zhivago on TCM.
It's my birthday. It's the Super Bowl. It's Pasternak.

In New Orleans for the game. This is the first time I ever remember Saints fans - and the "Drew Brees is the real GOAT" delusional cajuns - actually rooting for the Pats and Brady.
And yes - they are still bitching every 30 secs. They will never forget that game. As they say - "The past never dies in Louisiana - in fact, it isnt even the past"...
On behalf of the good folks here - Go Pats!

Defense for the win so far. Superb push in the middle by Ram interior D, great coverage by NE secondary... points could be as hard to come by as integrity in East Lansing administrative buildings.

Romo is good
February 3rd, 2019 at 7:10 PM ^
More than just his substantive analysis, which is fantastic and informative, I really enjoy his style. It's genuine and refreshingly un-produced, like you're sitting next to him on the sofa watching the game together.
February 3rd, 2019 at 7:12 PM ^
I agree. I don't know why people don't like him. I think he is very refreshing.
February 3rd, 2019 at 8:28 PM ^
I didn't care for him at first. He was a bit too enthusiastic about everything, especially Thursday night regular season games.
But he's grown on me, and it's definitely better than listening to Aikman.
