Sunday Football Open Thread

Welp, it's Sunday and there are Football and football accessories on the television. Playcards are stuffed in fat men's pants,  then later used to cover their mouths. Sports are sportsing, lots of "kind of guys" are "making plays," here's a place we can talk about them.

This is how I had it before the season started:

2 and 4 against the division.  Lose both games to GB and split with Minny and Chicago.

L @ Cardinals -- even with a new coach and QB, the Lions struggle with this team and the Lions struggle on the road.

L Chargers, @ Eagles, Chiefs -- is any explanation needed?

W Giants

W @ Oakland

L Dallas -- Dak and Zeke should have a field day against that leaky front 7.

L @ Washington -- Lions have 1 road win in Wash in forever.

W Tampa

W @ Broncos -- Even though Denver fans think the Super Bowl is their birthright -- it's not as getting *blown out* in the SB is, the Broncos are not that good of a team, their 1 decent RB has durability concerns and can Flacco lead them?

It's also kinda nice to see Kirk Cousins getting into his failure routine. I think at this point he's in the Rex Grossman "for some reason people keep making me a starter" Club.

I'm annoyed the Bears and Broncos is being played locally instead of Saints and Rams. I'd much rather watch that but hopefully the Bears drop to 0-2.

Prater needs to get it together, gonna need him several more times yet today.

Let's see if I can predict the rest of the Lions game:

1. Lions get a field goal to make it 10-9 Chargers

2. Chargers get a TD to make it 17-9 Chargers

3. Lions get a TD later in the 4th but fail on the 2 pt try 17-15 Chargers

4. Chargers seal it with another TD 24-15 and put it out of reach

Now that missed XP starts to hurt. a 4 point lead would certainly feel better right now. I'm sure the Chargers will get a TD anyway

Big play Slay! Now the missed XP is bad because Chargers will still get one more possession to get a tying FG
