MLive reported something about a jury trial, but that is idiotic. As a minor, he is going the HYTA route which takes a hearing with the judge and some good explaining of his actions (scheduled for April 14). He needs to convince the judge that his actions were stupid, childish and he regrets his actions - has learned his lesson and will complete probation like a monk (no drugs, no drinking, periodic testing, etc) in order to expunge the criminal charges. Once on probation, he probably can go back to the team ... like Glasgow with his probation issues. Given how good of a kid he is, Grant should have a good shot at being back on the team after a successful April 14 court hearing. If not, that MSU-leaning court might give him time, like 3-9 ... :)

I don't know if the answer to that is known right now. I think if Michigan wanted him as a safety, he wouldn't have played so much WR at prep school last year. There's certainly a chance that he ends up at safety, but I get the feeling he's going to get a shot at wideout first.

Awesome seeing UMBig11 make an appearance.  I'll keep checking back for his 9PM update, too!  Really good to see a lot of the stuff both he and Magnus posted.  But sad to hear about Perry.  Have to agree with Magnus' earlier comment on that - don't do stoopid things, and you won't run afoul of the law.  Ughh...

FYI: I'm not 100% sure if he'll post that update on the site or not. Methinks he's going to keep that to himself for now.

By all means, visit the site over and over and over again...as much as you want! I won't turn you away. But I'm just giving you a heads up.

I'm awful at analyzing HS film because watching future NFL guys playing on the same field as 10th graders who are going to grow up to be CPAs makes it impossible for the layman, but the one guy who just "had it" was Hudson so I love the whispers. I remember our old friend at Pitt wanted him as did the DC at PSU so that's two very good defensive minds who vouched for him.

A winter of hockey discontent, surprisingly exciting basketball success, the beginning of Baseball season...

And suddenly there are spring practice nuggets and you're checking the calendar nervously for how many days until football season opens. Great stuff here.

I believe that the passing game will be at least as good next year as this past season; losing a bunch of guys hurts, of course, but there is insane talent waiting to break out, and Crawford is a big part of that. He is fast and he can block, and if he can run good routes and/or show some serious hands (neither of which he had time to demonstrate last year) he will be productive in a big way. My not-far-out-on-a-limb prediction is Crawford and DPJ on either side.

OL is the big concern, of course. I am cautiously optimistic about Onwenu and Bredeson, but that could get crushed really easily. From the various tea leaves it sounds like the preference on the coaching staff is to play Cole at LT (a position we know he can hold competently if not superbly) if one of Kugler or Ruiz can hack it at C. If one of those guys is good enough, the OL looks a lot better. If Cole has to play C, you have big blinking warning signs at both tackle spots and absurdly young guys at guard, and the offense has a rough time getting started early in the year.

If it is true that Hudson is separating himself at viper, that is terrific news. Also good news if Long and Hill are both emerging as valid corners.

Not to be a prude... but I don't like going to that site because of the 'hot girl archives' and such...

At school I won't open it up because I don't want a student to blow things out of proportion.

At home i won't open up the site because I don't want my son, or my daughter, looking over my shoulder and thinking that pictures of women in bikini's are things quality people partake in...

long story short:  I don't like opening up TTB and often don't, even though the information is consistently interesting, simply because of the "pin up" girls.

Fair enough, but when I watch movies or read magazines or look at commercials, I see good looking people in sometimes revealing clothing. I'm not criticizing your choice. I actually commend you for looking out for your son/daughter in that way. However, it's not really any different than walking through the magazine aisle at the grocery store, watching a beer commercial, or having the Lakers Girls appear at a sporting event.

Friendly tip: If you read the site on your phone, the more revealing ads/pics are pushed to the bottom of the site where you basically won't have to see them. And you can click on the nightly links from the homepage without clicking on any pages that will bring up scantily clad women. These things were done purposefully to provide an option for people like you.

(and by the way, who the heck is negging every one of his posts?) but jdon has a point.  it's magnus' business, his site, his business model and i wish him nothing but the best and maybe he gets more traffic b/c of it.   but maybe he'd get more without it, too.

The person negging my posts has openly admitted to negging every post of mine he sees. Oh well.

The nightly posts get about 2,000 hits each. That's nothing to MGoBlog, but it's a decent chunk of traffic if you consider that it's about 14,000 each week or 60,000 per month. If I thought it would work better another way, then I would go a different route. There are some who say they don't visit because of it, and there are some who say that's the main reason they visit my site.

i automatically upvote even if your comment was relatively innocuous.

i was able to crack the mgoalgorhythms and here is a photo of magnus (shark) and his negger (remora) as seen in computer graphic depiction:

in the mgoworld, for every -1 there is a +1.  justice!

I agree and disagree with you. While I'd prefer no pinups, they aren't full size. The content at touch the banner is great, and I can block out the cheesecake. IIRC, Magnus used to have full size main page pics of girls, which he has since changed for the likes of you and me.

I used to avoid TTB at work for the same reasons.  But some time ago, the site changed so that you only get the girly picks if you click on particular links--and it's obvious which links those are.  You still need to be somewhat careful but the changes have solved that problem IMO.

Woof that 9:18 update on Perry is bad.

This 2015 class is verging on one of our worst of peak Hoke/RR  I know it was a coaching change class and one Harbaugh is worth 10 recruits but holy crap - outside of Kinnel, Wheat, Higdon, and Newsome it's verging on completely empty.   Cole barely made it to campus, Gentry got changed out to a new position immediately, Malzone goodbye. Shelton bye, Perry bye, Washington - nice story about foot racing but it's up there with "jungle beats" at this point.  Hopefully Reuben Jones or those two 3* OL can save some face for that group.

Where are all the sadz from the "Peters MUST displace Speight" crowd circa Nov-Dec?

If Harris can provide anything at WR that will be great.  I've put him in the Marshall category i.e. if you are not providing anything by year 3 you really have little chance to explode on the scene in year 4 - would be happy to be wrong.

Ben Mason sticking at LB vs FB sounds interesting ... probably part of yesterday's signing of PWO.  Most assumed he'd get a cup of coffee at LB before immediately being moved to FB.

OL scares me in any form, and that's before any potential injuries taking out the top 5.  As we assess this year we don't take into account inevitable injuries - the DBs really are thin and an injury esp at S is again going to be very bad.  No surprise - with Cole gone that was supposed to be his position as an upperclassmen and after him the lack of recruiting hits there is catching up.

I kind of have my record in head if no one gets a serious injury and then I have reality knowing a few guys will get knocked out.  Some positions can handle it - others there is zero margin for error.
