Sportscenter/Nissan Heisman House in Ann Arbor tomorrow

Submitted by lilpenny1316 on

I didn't see an updated post on this so I wanted to share for folks getting to the stadium early.

SportsCenter will air from 7-9AM at the corner of S. Main St., and E. Keech Ave.  Apparently the set it's not constructed for fan attendance, whatever that means.

The Heisman House is on the southwest corner of Main St. and Stadium Blvd.  Lloyd Carr will be on site from 9:30-11:00AM.  He will be signing autographs from 10-11AM.

Link is below.  Originally saw this on FREEP and searched like heck to find a different source to post.

PS -- Hahahahaha Sparty, you still have to share the stage with us Saturday morning.

I don't think it will sit well with Coach D'Antoni that ESPN is in Ann Arbor on MSU's big day, even if just for SportsCenter.  I hope this doesn't cause them to mark the MSU-Michigan game on their calendar with a red circle!

ESPN production is running the following:

9:40 AM- Jim Harbaugh piece of how he's the perfect Michigan Man to lead Michigan

9:46 AM- Mark Dantonio takes the stage to talk with Gameday crew.

Mike Valenti about puked on air when he heard about it. Incessant bitch fest about how Dantonio and MSU are so disrespected by ESPN given this piece and the "Car Wash" a few weeks ago. It is comical how Valenti doesn't grasp the fact that MSU is currently built off of disrespect from those outside of East Lansing.

You don't see us whining about Basketball.  They always, always get the bball coverage and the better seed because of Izzo and their dominance since the late 90's.  You can't have it all.  You just can't.

Differing from ESPN's GameDay, which is being held Saturday at Michigan State from 9 a.m. to noon, the SportsCenter set is not built for fan attendance. The background of the set will be Keech Ave. and Michigan Stadium.

Surely this is a situation that some donuts and coffee from Washtenaw Dairy could fix, this "not built for fan attendance" situation. Granted, this is ESPN and they'd probably graciously accept the donuts and call the police, but at least you would get a few seconds of airtime.

Well watching this now and enjoying it.  They are really doing a sunshine piece on JH, interviews on the field from the Big House (John U Bacon etc).  Had the band play the Michigan fight song earlier this morning and a nice mix of Michigan history.

They also had an obligatory 5 second interview with the Oregon State coach.

A few segues to MSU's campus & discussion of that game since theyll be front and center at 9 am.

All in all a really good SC morning.  I think they should have ESPN GameDay in A2 from now on!

Michigan is the center of the CFB universe today!
