NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
One of the very best in basketball AND football. NBC doesn't have enough content and he's been awesome.
This sucks if true.
Dakich was awful when he first started calling games. I give Tirico a lot of credit in developing him into a solid announcer.

If you think Dickie V is torture announcing college hoops you should see him coaching in the NBA.
What is the connection?

My guess is he left soley to get away from Dan Dakich.
Clay Travis is tweeting that one. Take it for what it is worth.
Nessler has done one of the college football Semifinals, and has the ESPN Saturday Night Prime Time slot. Beyond MNF, that would be another big gap opening up there on the ESPN roster.
Verne Lundquist is 75 years old --- Nessler is 59. It's possible that Nessler would be moving to the SEC on CBS Saturday afternoon games. Nessler was partners with Gary Danielson on ABC games back in the late 1990s (before Danielson sold his soul to become an SEC shill).
I meet him in Detroit during All Star weekend and told him he had a great voice... Looking back it might have weirded him out!!

I am glad that he's moving on. I can stand to watch some NBA games that he would call again. His sound is fine, it's how fake he sounds. Just my opinion.
Tirico as MNF announcer is awesome. He and Gruden are a great team. I'm sorry to see him leave ESPN solely for that reason.
