Marlin Jackson is one of my heros. He was my favorite of the Carr-era Cornerbacks (non-Woodson division, obvs). He had one hell of a childhood, which made me relate to him very much.
It was great to see him be the one to intercept Brady (who I cannot hate, by definition) to send the Colts to the Super Bowl. It's pretty cool that he's also a great guy by all accounts.

I'm a big Pats fan and that was the probably the most conflicted I have ever been in my sports-following life. I met Marlin Jackson when I was a very young Michigan fan at one of the youth signing day events, Marlin's freshman year. He was incredibly nice, signed whatever I had on me that day, and took a picture with me. Later in the year I had to do a school project and I did mine on college football, so I wrote Marlin a letter with some questions and the photo that I had taken with him. He answered all my questions, autographed the picture and was great about writing me back. I also made an effort growing to collect NFL jerseys of former Michigan players, so I had to get a Marlin Jackson jersey when the Colts drafted him.
I loved following Marlin at Michigan, and as much as it stung when that pass was intercepted, I was very happy that Marlin got that moment, if it had to happen.
