Women took four at home vs Maryland to remain in first place. Men took three at Minnesota to remain in second place within a game of Nebraska. Go Blue!

Baseball Standings:

1. Nebraska (18-6)
2. Michigan (18-7)
3. Indiana (15-8)
4. Iowa (15-10)
5t. Maryland (13-12)
5t. Ohio State (13-12)
7t. Rutgers (12-12)
7t. Northwestern (12-12)
9. Illinois (10-12)
10. Michigan State (11-15)
11. Purdue (8-15)
12. Penn State (8-16)
13. Minnesota (4-20)

We are a little over halfway through the 44-game conference schedule.  Next weekend, Nebraska is at Michigan State, Michigan hosts Rutgers and Indiana hosts Minnesota.  The Big Ten schedule makers knew what they were doing; Michigan is at Nebraska the last week of the season for a 3-game series on Memorial Day weekend.

I think Nebraska, Michigan and Indiana are locks for the tournament, but one team will have to stand out more than they have to get a 1-seed and host a regional.  Right now, Michigan looks like a mid- to high- 2 seed.

Both teams looked great this weekend. Just hope the guys can win at least a share of the regular season title. I know the 2019 season turned out awesome, but the guys were right there for a Big Ten title and kind of fell apart the last two weeks of the regular season.

What's our record in an athletic year for Big Ten titles won across the department? If Softball and Baseball both end up at the top of the final regular season standings I have to think this year would come awfully close!

Watching the Braves/Cubs and saw the bottom line crawler show that the men’s team plated 21 runs in the first game.  Not exactly “small ball”.
