So after the original denial, Urb admits it now
January 5th, 2022 at 12:30 PM ^
Enough of the Urban dickriding, I’m fucking sick of seeing shit from this scumbag on the message board. He’s a former OSU coach and world-renowned douchebag. Find something better to post
January 5th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
How about just not commenting if you don't like the content...? I think anything related to Urban Meyer's full dismantling should be fodder for the board.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:54 PM ^
“How about just not commenting if you don’t like the content?”
pot, kettle.
dude was undefeated against UM but is a walking case study for racist, misogynistic, adulterous, attention-seeking behavior - all at the cost of winning football games. It’s likely that his kids and wife hate him.
How about we focus more attention on showing some appreciation for our very own James Joseph Harbaugh? The one who stayed, took a huge pay cut on the chin, donated his EARNED incentives back to the AD to support employees in need, has never been caught on camera in a bar groping a woman half his age, and is by and large regarded as a family man and an upstanding model of the institution we all love.
but yeah sure let’s post another article about beedy-eyed Urban
January 5th, 2022 at 12:59 PM ^
Maybe its ok to do both? Doesn't seem mutually exclusive.
January 5th, 2022 at 1:52 PM ^
This is true, I did not like your comment and chose to let you know about it rather than moving on with my life. The 30 seconds I took to tell you this, I will not get back, and I am ok with that. Though I will say, once you comment on a thread, you are welcoming comments to your comment. Which is a little different than telling someone "stop posting this because I don't find it interesting". But, hey, you got me, I am the kettle.
January 5th, 2022 at 1:54 PM ^
Same, as we continue to devote minutes of our lives we will never get back to snarky sidebars aimed at one another ;)
January 5th, 2022 at 4:09 PM ^
"But, hey, you got me, I am the kettle."
And I am the Walrus
goo goo g'joob.
January 5th, 2022 at 8:40 PM ^
"....dude was undefeated against UM...."
Technically, Lloyd Carr beat him in the Capital One Bowl.
January 5th, 2022 at 4:17 PM ^
How about just not commenting if you don't like the content...?
If that's the logic, why don't people start making posts when they fart or are constipated? I mean if you don't like the content, don't comment! I agree with the above poster. There have been far too many threads about Urban Meyer on the board recently.
January 5th, 2022 at 4:55 PM ^
The internet is exhausting, and I have time to kill before making dinner, so here goes.
Threads that are actually stupid and pointless get deleted pretty quickly by our mods. This OP is neither of those things, it actually continues to showcase the douche canoe that Urban Meyer will always be. My simple suggestion is that if you don’t want to read about Urban Meyer or don’t care about him, then don’t comment. Not a difficult concept to grasp for most. I don’t like Talking Cars Tuesday, so I just don’t comment on the thread. Commenting on something to tell the OP or blog to stop “dickriding” and that your pressed about the number of Urban threads recently is just pointless. His downfall will continue to be reported, televised and blog worthy. If it wasn’t, it would get deleted. Game, set, point, match. Scott. Game over.
January 5th, 2022 at 8:13 PM ^
Totally agree. I have a routine getting through the sports information sites, and this is a good stop for obscure relevant information. None of the other sites I had visited noted this, so thanks to the OP for the information.
I now see CBSSports.com is now reporting it on its front page, so it is obviously newsworthy and not just my opinion. Those that see it as frivolous and unnecessary content just move on.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:36 PM ^
Very aggressive post Jerry.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:37 PM ^
He was 7-0 against UM. That's all that matters to mouth breathers in Ohio, and his 3 national titles are what our society values and will be his ultimate legacy.
He's also a fraud and scumbag, so obviously it gives us some minimal joy to shit on him.
January 5th, 2022 at 1:11 PM ^
*Undefeated at osu. But lost with Tebow to Lloyd's last team in the 2008 Capital One Bowl.
I agree with your final sentiment wholeheartedly though.
January 5th, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
I don’t know why you’re freaking out about this. Urban Meyer is still venerated in the state of Ohio. I’m all for exposing this POS for who he really is.
January 5th, 2022 at 2:02 PM ^
Yep, I have no doubt that if he ran for Governor of Ohio he'd win.
January 5th, 2022 at 2:29 PM ^
Sen. Tommy Tuberville says 'Hi!'.
January 5th, 2022 at 3:35 PM ^
Whereas Florida fans don’t seem to like him at all, even though he won two national titles there.
Does that say something about the integrity of the two schools? Hmmm.
January 5th, 2022 at 1:57 PM ^
People ride Urban’s dick to one title and think they get to call the shots.
January 5th, 2022 at 3:29 PM ^
LOL!!!!!!!! ^^^^ THIS ^^^^
January 5th, 2022 at 2:50 PM ^
This is the opposite of dick riding
January 5th, 2022 at 12:31 PM ^
Where does Urban rank on the most despicable coaches of all time?
January 5th, 2022 at 2:04 PM ^
Why isn't this getting more up votes? Frigging hilarious, I say!
January 5th, 2022 at 2:35 PM ^
Well done sir.
January 5th, 2022 at 2:54 PM ^
I wish I could pause it, but who's the guy on the right at the end of the GIF? Is that Sam Pittman?
January 5th, 2022 at 4:10 PM ^
Doesn't look like him. IDK who it is though.
January 5th, 2022 at 5:37 PM ^
Not sure who that guy is.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:32 PM ^
Par for the course. urban Meyer lies again, ?
January 5th, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
Hence his well-known nickname, "Urban Liar".
January 5th, 2022 at 12:54 PM ^
Urban Fuckboi is apropos, as well
January 5th, 2022 at 6:26 PM ^
It's not even the lying. "I didn't know about it" You're the freaking head coach and you're trying to pass off the responsibility?? He taught a leadership course?? I remember JH saying "Leaders eat last" Urban is/was a boss but far from a leader.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
He's scum. I hate "cancel culture" when someone makes a mistake or screws up, but in cases like Urban Meyer who has a lifetime of missteps and being a general POS, would be great to never see his smug mug again.
Given we value winning and talent above all else in this country, I fully expect him to be back in a broadcast (he was good on FOX) and potentially CFB head coaching position in a couple years after the stink wears off a bit.
That said, player empowerment per NIL and transfer portal may ensure that he'll never achieve the same success again, even if given another CFB gig.
January 5th, 2022 at 2:51 PM ^
Was he good at Fox? (Serious question.) I honestly never saw him on Fox without immediately going to ESPN or the Weather Channel or something else.
January 5th, 2022 at 7:55 PM ^
Yeah, he was. He often had something insightful to say, and didn't see him playing up the Buckeyes, or down Michigan or anyone else. He should have stayed there.
January 5th, 2022 at 8:01 PM ^
He was, and I'd rather kiss a dogs ass than admit it. He was very good at analysis.
I doubt he's let back into the broadcast booth anytime soon based on his latest doucebaggary but who knows, it's Fox.
January 6th, 2022 at 2:09 PM ^
Couldn't agree more. He's right there with Matt Millen in terms of former coaches I never want to hear the opinion of.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
I thought we said no Bleacher Report?
Anyway, dude is a certified POS. I would be happy if I never heard his name again.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:34 PM ^
Out of the playoffs and back to being an Urban Meyer blog *chefs kiss*
/s
January 5th, 2022 at 12:36 PM ^
Urban lied? Shocking. In other news, researches have determined that water is indeed wet.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:38 PM ^
Nothing cracks me up more than college football coaches, known for being some of the most anal and controlling people in the world, claiming they had no idea or input on a presentation being made by some member of their staffs. Urban Meyer forced guys on his staff he just hired this year to explain to him why they weren't losers and justify their existence, yet he let some underling create a presentation about team rules without input? Seems about right.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:57 PM ^
This defense works for MBB coaches real well. Even though the rosters and staffs are a fraction of the size of Football. Lookin at you Sean Miller, Izzo, Coach K etc, etc.
January 5th, 2022 at 2:28 PM ^
Yeah, the number of millionaires who could tell you the last time a WR ran 3 yards and not 2 yards on a flat route but couldn't remember if they saw a team-wide slide about proper attire featuring the photo of a kid murdered for wearing a hoodie is truly astronomical.
January 5th, 2022 at 2:53 PM ^
Loud, sustained applause.
January 5th, 2022 at 12:44 PM ^
if there was ANY doubt that this happened.... when urban said "gosh no" it should have removed all doubt.
urban meyer = decroded piece of crap
January 5th, 2022 at 12:47 PM ^
Consistent with the Urban Meyer playbook: First deny, then obfuscate and ultimately delay. In the meantime, try to bury all the evidence. Looks like he couldn’t make all the witnesses go away in this case.
The guy appears to be a malignant narcissist. He lies without any internal dilemma because he believes that is the best thing for him - and that is the only ethical code that matters to him.
Great recruiter, motivator and in-game coach. Not so great human being.
January 5th, 2022 at 1:49 PM ^
You missed blame others when exposed.
