SI article on Connor Stalions (with text conversation from 2021)
I really hate to add another thread to this whole b.s., but... there is actually some new/relevant information in this article. Provides insight into Stallions previous duties and his character.
The guy seemed a bit... too emotionally invested, for quite some time.

"Stallion, how come you are so good at knowing what the other team is going to do?"

I really hate to add another thread to this whole b.s
And yet you did.

If he really loves Michigan so much why doesn’t he come out and say the coaches didn’t know about this, didn’t find it, he didn’t know it was illegal, he never disclosed his methods… wash your hands of it. But you will be forever black listed at UofM now

I think he loves his career ambitions associated with Michigan, rather than the program itself. For his sake, I hope he gets some counseling after this. It's likely ruined his career prospects in football and considering that this is basically his identity, it could get ugly.

Im sure he isnt allowed to speak about the investigation in the same way Harbaugh cant. And while I currently think it's trending in the direction that he acted alone, Im not sure I want him speaking to the media right now. Mr Papertrail should probably stay quiet until he is directed to speak.

Good point, and I should have been more clear I certainly didn’t mean to the media, but to NCAA investigators. Then again maybe he is better off in Bolivia

Let's all hope nobody knew what he was doing.
However, Michigan football definitely has a compliance / screening problem for new hires. First Schembechler, now this crazy man. They need to do a better job distinguishing between dedication / hard work and crazy. Of course, you could say that about every organization - but the stakes are high enough here where it really matters.
I've always found the person that stays into the office until 10 every night has a good chance of moving up quickly, but always seems to plateau and then when they do - it's ugly because that is their identity. I think Mr. Stalions fits that mold.

It definitely seemed like he was a fanatic when the initial story revealed he was volunteering at Michigan and sleeping on a couch to be able to afford it. Then you have Devin Gardner saying he saw him at games 10 years ago. Now all of this additional info. He clearly wanted to make his name known and get onto the coaching staff. Slipping a few decoded plays into the coaches ear that are successful would do that. This lends more credibility to the narrative that he acted alone.
I like to believe that Harbaugh would see this kid as a dedicated fan/employee and wouldnt want to throw him into some scouting scheme that could land him in hot water. Harbs doesnt seem like a people user in that way.
That Navy stuff sounds bad. I doubt Navy will want to look too hard into it, but if he was sneaking into the office under false pretenses to access student information then that's pretty crazy.
Sidenote: This is a shot in the dark, but I wonder if he was ever an "insider" on here. I mostly lurked but I would see those posts such as that riddle guy who abbreviated everything in his posts. Stalions comes off to me like the type of guy who would want to show off his insider knowledge.

Imagine joining the Navy for almost a decade of your life for the sole purpose of boosting your resume to become a football coach at Michigan. That's some serious dedication / obsession.

Oy ve!

I have close connections to the US Naval Academy, so nothing about his character traits are a surprise to me. Combine that with his lifelong love/obsession for Michigan football, and we end up with a "Manifesto". (Come on, Connor, couldn't you have at least called it your "15 Year Strategic Plan"?!)

So did the Unabomber. Maybe Marx, Blofeld, and Dr. Evil are also big Michigan fans. /s

I guarantee he was an active member of this blog.

Can someone please find this manifesto. I really am curious to read it.

I would just like to say "fuck you" to the NCAA, Jim Stapleton and THE Ohio State University for not allowing me to get any work done since last Thursday.
And fuck that TruStage ad or whatever the hell it is for hogging my whole screen so I can't read anything. Yet another obstacle I need to overcome before I can get back to being productive again.
These are simultaneously first world AND third world problems. And as I went to hit Save the TruStage ad popped up AGAIN and mistakenly clicked on that woman instead. A re-route and two popups later and I probably have a virus now. Great.

There's a bit in this article that I don't think anyone has picked up on, though I may have missed it.
“Pre-covid, stole opponent signals during the week watching tv copies then flew to the game and stood next to [then Michigan offensive coordinator Josh] Gattis and told him what coverage/pressure he was gettin,” Stalions continued.
So, Stalions is saying that he was deciphering the Defensive signals!
Coach - OSU is signaling "Don't tackle Haskins!"
