Shoelace! College Game Day spot, The Brown Jug
I live in Nashville, TN and was in town for work with one of the kidney transplant surgeons.
Afterwards, my colleague and I had an early lunch at The Brown Jug (I had the Tom Brady, extra kraut).
Then College Game Day showed-up with this guy.
….I'm a grown ass man that acted like a kid and loved every damn minute of this. (he still doesn't tie his shoes).
GO BLUE!

How did you slow down that footage?
October 12th, 2018 at 6:38 PM ^
You don't. It's already in slow motion.

Whoooooosh.
October 12th, 2018 at 6:50 PM ^
Whoooooosh !!!!! THERE GOES DENARD!!! AGAIN!!!

lmao +1

Can anyone confirm whether that is STILL the longest running play in the history of Notre Dame stadium? I know that it was at the time.
Also, one of the best things about that play is Patrick Omameh making two blocks, both of which were necessary for the play to result in a TD. Man do I miss having a dominant O-Line. That was our best one in the post-Carr era.
October 12th, 2018 at 6:59 PM ^
Not any more. Josh Adams ran 98 yards for a TD as a freshman in 2015.

What’s funny about this is that nobody thought much of Omameh at the time. We enjoyed that play but mostly he wasn’t thought of highly.
Now he’s in the NFL, still.

This is literally a cool story. I am infinitely jealous of you!

Brown Jug is a good spot. I saw Devin Gardner there last year, got to talk to him about his high school days. very nice guy
October 12th, 2018 at 4:39 PM ^
I shook Cazzie’s hand at the Jug in 1966.
October 12th, 2018 at 6:14 PM ^
I noticed you skipped over his college days

Lots of fun at the jug. I saw an angry, drunken customer, who had been previously escorted out, throw a chunk of cement through the front window one St. Patrick's Day night

Brian already had a strong---and accurate----arm, even when drunk, huh?!
October 12th, 2018 at 7:11 PM ^
That was Scorekeepers, not the Jug.

That is awesome. Denard might be favorite player to every play for Michigan. It is hard to pick between Woodson and Denard.
October 12th, 2018 at 5:45 PM ^
I'd have to pick between Denard and these two
Tough choice
October 12th, 2018 at 6:03 PM ^
How do you pick between any of the three??? Like picking between Mom, Dad, and your very wealthy Grandma.
October 12th, 2018 at 7:13 PM ^
"Like picking between Mom, Dad, and your very wealthy Grandma."
That's a no brainer. Grammy every time.
October 12th, 2018 at 6:07 PM ^
Can't go wrong with those two. I was too young for Desmond. I was around 9ish when Woodson played at Michigan and it was when I really started to watch football. The 2009 class that Denard was in was the first class that got into following the whole recruiting thing.

Charles is one cool potato.

Sooo when you said "College Game Day spot" in the title, did you mean that they did some filming at the Jug? Or did you get some inside information about the "spot" where they'd be set up tomorrow? I was a bit confused by that sorry.
October 12th, 2018 at 9:40 PM ^
CGD was there doing a spot with Denard at the Brown Jug. I think they're airing it tomorrow.
October 12th, 2018 at 5:07 PM ^
Good God... I love that man!
October 12th, 2018 at 5:10 PM ^
St. Patty's day in '09 I met Mike Hart at the Jug, and had the same reaction!
October 12th, 2018 at 5:40 PM ^
Is he the guest picker tomorrow?
October 12th, 2018 at 5:49 PM ^
That would be awesome!
October 12th, 2018 at 6:12 PM ^
No. They announced that The Chainsmokers are going to be the guest pickers. Do they have some kind of connection to Michigan? If they don't that is a really lame pick. Denard would have been 1000000 times better.
October 12th, 2018 at 7:12 PM ^
What an awful pick. I remember them being on before too.
October 12th, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
Seriously? Why? Get someone who actually won something to represent our program on Gameday. Unbelievable
October 13th, 2018 at 12:21 AM ^
Any Michigan 'fan' that doesn't just absolutely LOVE Denard Robinson is no Michigan fan. He's just some troll that follows a different program.
October 12th, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
Denard reminds me of the floating door in Titanic. Kept me from downing during some rough times.
October 12th, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
Great story!

Denard with Don Brown's defense.
Can you imagine?
