Shea Patterson appealing for a 5th year?

There are some rumbling of Shea trying to get eligibility for a 5th year. I was kind of looking forward to moving on from him this next season, not sure how I feel...

Whats your take on this? Maybe he builds on his last 3 1/2 games and becomes the qb we all though we had from day 1

Hmmm...  Not sure if I like this possibility.  Shea became an outstanding passer in the last few games, but he still wasn't running it for shit.  I think both DCaff and Milton have a higher upside as a runner.  But we don't know the passer side of it.  Honestly, I think it's DCaff's time...

I wish Shea the best regardless of what he does - if he petitions for another year, I hope he gets it; if he enters the draft, I hope he goes high.

1. Not going to get approved. Not with one immediate transfer already, and does not qualify.

2. Wish he could have been that 5 star elite game-changing, fear- invoking top QB as advertised.

3. Top/elite QBs remain elite under any coaching changes.

Ready to see next man up, as I am certain we have seen his ceiling

There has already been a few tweets about this the last few days and rumor is we won't support the request.. First off it's a huge gamble that he would be any better. He wants another year because he knows he won't be drafted or he wants to get some more golf in this summer. Sorry, good riddance.  Plus all the bitching we do about Fields getting his transfer approved for immediate eligibility and now we want to try to come up with some technicality to get Shea a 5th year? give me a break, we look like hypocrites. Shea is NOT going to lead this team to a championship, ever, I don't see how him coming back makes us any better, the ONLY way I see us approving this or filing for it is if they have a STRONG feeling CJ Stroud is coming and that way he might only sit one year and take over but after his visit this past weekend NO recruiting analyst that I've seen has pulled their CB from ohio. He is on an OV there this weekend and to me him making is OV to them RIGHT before early signing doesn't bode well. Plus he has already been there for an UOV.  Shea stays I would bet DM and Milton both transfer then we are stuck with no depth in the QB room.
