Second Best (or worst) College Fight Songs
We all know which is number one, but for those of you starving for some CFB pageantry, which teams fight song makes your toes tap? (Or which one "slaps" with "BDE" for anyone born after 1993)
My two are Texas A&M because of it being a giant middle digit to Texas and I'd also like to visit Kyle Field just to join into that arm locking deal that they do when they sing about "sawing varsity's horns off"
Also some love to Georgia Tech due to the lyrics mentioning drinking whiskey and being a "helluva engineer"

Oh hell, Son, I was high that day. That doesn’t make any sense at all, you can be second, third, fourth… hell you can even be fifth.
I have no desire to see a bigger version of a little brother situation like at Texas A&M. Their fight song is ridiculous.
Notre Dame's will always be second best.
In more ways than that.
There are a few that I consider second best, so I'll divide them into categories:
All of football: Notre Dame (As a full march, it's crap, but the chorus melody is great.)
Big Ten: Go U Northwestern
Best adapted for high school: On Wisconsin (as long as the band playing it isn't Wisconsin's. My God they're awful.)
Worst: too many to count. Having to learn the opposing team's fight song every week as part of the MMB showed how lucky we are to have The Victors. Though if I have to pick a worst, it would be a tie between Buckeye Battle Cry and Across the Field.

Worst Penn State. They had to put the words up on the scoreboard. Nobody knows the words.

After Michigan, only ND and USC bear mention.
1. UM - Especially with the long, fancy intro
2. Wisconsin - Catchy. The three consecutive notes after On Wisconsin are quite delightful shower fodder.
3. ND - Michigan's real lil bro. Just behind at everything from academia, to basketball, to football. I guess they have that Heisman thing.
4. FSU - War chant. Perfect in it's lyricless simplicity for a consistently over-served and dimwitted fan base.

Only reason I would consider Sparta's is because they stole it from my High School, Thurston in Redford.
