This should go without saying, but we need to get our guys back in the gym by June 8th at the latest or we will fall even farther behind. Let's play football.

Do you really think getting back in the gym on the same day as OSU is going to get Michigan any closer to beating them?

We could have a two month head start on them and I still think they'd beat us next year.

College football will be played this year but it will likely be a condensed season somehow. Given the huge technological advances in medicine since 1920, there will also likely be a medicine involving antibodies by October which hopefully can turn back a second wave if indeed that does occur. Football this year will be interesting to say the least as everyone now will be on more of a level playing field since school has been out and the players away from campus. This is what football looked like before it became a year around sport. In high school in the 1980's for example, most of my football team played multiple sports and baseball even longer in the summer with Legion baseball. Football for us began in late July and August. We lifted weights from August -November and that was it because of playing other sports. There was no one sport specialization back then. Michigan will be back in June most likely practicing just like everyone else. Hopefully, we can have a full season. It is funny, however, that the media is not reporting that the state of Georgia has now been open for almost four weeks and the cases of COVID have actually decreased there.https://komonews.com/news/coronavirus/its-been-3-weeks-since-georgia-texas-reopened-heres-where-they-stand

Let's all hope for the best to get through this mess and get back to enjoying college football and our lives!

Michigan will play by the rules, then get blown the fuck out @ OSU.

Or the will start on the 8th and still get whooped.

Libtard, that 100k or 95k deaths, needs to be revisited.... You have heart disease for 30 plus years and die of a heart attack. But yet contract this virus while being treated in the very hospital that gives you this virus. You didn't necessarily die bc of covid 19. Man. I thought going to Michigan would make you smarter. Nah, just dumb and naive I suppose. Use your fucking brain. This virus is very dangerous but the deaths are overstated. Use common sense. Oh right, you can't. Because you re a god damn ungrateful whining snowflake like half this fanbase equates to. And I love Michigan sports to the fullest. This statement clearly applies to the idiots at the beginning of this thread

I call it "The trained monkey effect". Too many out their believe what these "officials" are telling us. I don't buy into the CDC death count and think is 50-80% too high. I like using the cases per 100,000 count better. Also hospitalizations per 100,000.

At least there folks (like me) who thinks the way you do.

What happens if the entire state ignores Whitmer and goes about their life like the surrounding states? Is Whitmer going to zero pay like all the small businesses?

No official word from Warde but I'd bet Michigan will follow suit. No reason why we can't go more than 10 players at a time workout together but there are ways around that.

a) it doesn't 'go without saying.'  it just doesn't.  and

b) as if any of the players on those teams ever see the "campus" in any meaningful way.

to OSU & SEC ...good luck w/all that

...as for the players they'll be going from one lockdown to probably a more strict lockdown - because none of these universities will want to be the one that gets it first cluster of cv-19 cases ... but is suspect its coming
