Scott Frost is the saltiest man on the planet

Frost doubles down: "We out-hit them in the first half and I thought we out-hit them in the second half. ... I thought we won that battle."

Scott Frost: "It's rare when you come into Michigan and rush for 300 yards on them. They had to run a fly sweep in the 4th to get to 100"

UCF coach Scott Frost: "We came in here and outhit those guys today. There's no doubt which team was hitting harder"

Eh, whatever. I think he is speaking to his own team here after a game they all knew they were going to lose. If he tells them they were a hard-hitting team, they believe they are a hard-hitting team, they double down on it, they improve.

This is a team that was winless last year and still hasn't beaten an FBS opponent since 2014. He needs to keep their heads focused on where they're going. Yeah, he might be missing the forest for the trees a bit, but I think in the long term this isn't a bad idea.

Well, if yout players hit harder and ran harder and still lost by 30+ then who's fault is it that things ended the way they did, Scott?

In fairness this is likely how he needs to build his team. To go from 0-12 to competitive in the American they are going to need to build an attitude. Good for them for showing up today. If they do that all year they might win 6 games. That would be a few steps forward. I actually found myself thinking that his team was well prepared and resilient throughout the game.

When they picked up something like 3 consecutive first downs running, getting each on two runs, I thought they hit their peak.  They RPS'ed Brown for that eriod, but then Michigan adjusted and it was over.

The long runs have to be accepted as the price for aggression, I think.  Michigan can only hope to cut down on those, not to eliminate them.

It's been a really bad week for this board. Even Brian seems embarrassed at what his readership is now. The majority of responses in this thread are at a middle school level of sophistication.

I honestly don't get why he even comes around anymore. He's hated the community (and the feeling is mutual) for years. Plus, nobody not on the app can read his insufferable bullshit anyway. Does he simply find enjoyment and/or fulfilment by negging everyone? If so, that's simply pathetic.

And yet you're the one, Ronnie Kaye, that is banned. I would love to see the intellectual brilliance that you displayed to get banned from a football message board. For those reading this on a pc, you can't see his comments and I'm on the app.

He has a loser team and he needs to convince them that they are better than they are.  I'm sure Harbaugh did the same when he had to convince Stanford that they weren't that shitty when he first got there.

He knows they got shat on, but sometimes if you lie enough to yourself and those around you, you start to believe it and play to that level.

A toast to you delusional Scott Frost.

For a guy trying to rebuild a program I thought they played with a lot of heart today. The final score doesn't tell the whole story at all.

Their scrawny 210 lb linebackers seemed to be rocking our line back and making plays. They are clearly the worse team, but they certainly came out and played like they wanted it a little more. That's a pretty fluffy thing to hang your hat on but you can't deny that those guys gave up a hell of a lot more fight than anyone expected

I noticed in the second half that UCF had not given up and were still fighting. Not that it mattered, but it was refreshing to see a team take a beatdown and still fight.

I'm not a Scott Frost fan he evidently motivates that team. They'll be good very soon.

In all honesty, I don't think we will know exactly what Carol Frost thinks of this game until the official letter is mailed to either one of the blogs - such as this one - or indeed if she should choose more official channels, to the staff or to Manuel directly. If I had to speculate, she may very well tell the fanbase at large to cease with the "Wolverwhining".

This isn't 6 year old bball, they actually kept score, and you got taken to the woodshed. Now shut your punchable face and go home. Scott frost classless in victory and worse in defeat

They lined up on D and basically said .... You're not going to beat us with the run.
Our coaches recognized this and and gave ol Wilton Speight his first test. And he passed.
Next opponent please.
Let this season unfold. I like this team. I Have faith in our coaches.

Convenient to cherry pick an unquantifiable thing and say you did it better, but they seemed alright and didn't give up when a lot of other teams would have. So basically, good game UCF and fuck you Scott Frost; you look like Landry from the Friday Night Lights tv show

Maybe they should've worried about making plays with the ball, stopping the ball on defense and not just hitting. If they did out hit Michigan it's because their players weren't caring after they were up by 31 within minutes after the second quarter started. It wasn't a contest. What a clown.

It's not the HITTING, Mr. Frost.

It's hitting the right person.

That is, on defense, hitting the person with the ball. And on offense, hitting the person TRYING to hit the person with the ball.
