San Antonio logistics
Who else is making the trip? Just booked a flight from Chicago (taking the train from Detroit to Chicago to get there) to Austin (Saturday morning), driving from Austin to San Antonio with family friends for the game on Saturday.
lets rock the alamodome!!! GO BLUE!!
Protip: None of what you wrote here is correct for any airline with the possible exception of the LCCs/ULCCs (including Southwest) which control their entire internet sales pipeline. It's mostly an urban myth -- there's not currently any way for the major airlines to do this, as they publish their fares and availability to shared systems for travel agents, etc. to use.
It may become *less* urban myth-y in the future, as the company that manages most of the infrastructure is working on personalized pricing. It's not yet clear how / if that will work, but once it exists, I'd be surprised if incognito mode would help.
There are several possible reasons that you could see different search results. However, I agree that Southwest is one of the companies that could actually do what you say. The problem is the risk -- if they get caught, the potential negative publicity is massive. They've built their brand as being the friendliest airline. If they were found to be inflating the cost of flights based upon your search history, the reputation hit could be extremely dangerous.
If you find that this is repeatably true, I urge you to take screenshots and distribute them far and wide. Tweet at them; try to get the Detroit media involved. This is a PR nightmare waiting to happen.
I can promise you, however, that the major airlines (American, Delta, United, Alaska) don't have the capability to do this. Everybody sees the same inventory. Fares are filed in a consistent fashion through a central publishing company. It simply isn't technically feasible (yet) for them to do this, even if they wanted to.
PS: I apologize for the snarkiness of the initial reply. This is a pet peeve of mine, but you were obviously only trying to help the community. I'll downvote myself in penance. :)
I still have my M Card - do you know of a student who has access to purchasing tickets that can snag me one for Saturday/Monday? I'd pay for it of course.
Looking for some MGoBoard help here...I post .torrents of games (for ten years now) / run the live streams so MGoFans can watch the games live online...hoping someone can lend a hand. Yes, I'm pulling that card - ten years of sharing my labors is good payment in kind.

Another message board Big Brain Catfight!
Sadly, you won't be able to enter the arena unless the name on the ticket matches your name. A ton of students aren't going to be able to go because they aren't season basketball ticket holders

Wifi was great when I did need to do some work from the room. There is a great little courtyard pool if it gets hot.
You could walk to the Alamodome if the games are there, but not to the place where the Spurs play.
Off days should be spent walking around the King William Historic District and tasting what it has to offer. And for some higher end dining there is a place called Bliss in that general direction.
The Market Square area is stupid. Skip it.

We can drive down together if you want -- if so reply to this and I'll get you my contact info
It's stupid expensive to fly to San Antonio from Stockholm. Then again, it's also stupid expensive to fly anywhere else having waited this long to book tickets for spring break, and we do want to go on vacation somewhere...
