Hoke was allowed to finish the season and given the opportunity to do somethign with the last few games.  Didn't happen.  Hackett evaluated quickly and put this to bed.  He's already shown he is better than Brandon.  Hopefully, the coaching search shows this as well because I don't want to even think about what happens if this gets screwed up.

Mostly, I feel bad for the players that continue to have to go through coaching transitions.  It really sucks and hurts their development.

I would have loved to see Hoke as a successful Michigan coach. I feel nothing but sadness that he wasn't able to accomplish that.  I hope he gets another head coach job and is successful there.

I hope the next coach is a winner, but still runs the kind of program I think Hoke would have long term.   Michigan is a tough job because our expectations are high both on and off the field.

I cannot in good conscience take joy in seeing someone removed from their position, especially one that was their dream job and something that they had sought to be. This feels like something that just needed to happen given the circumstances, the end of something that clearly was not working.

Sadly, it didn't work out here, and I do wish him the best in the future - he's a great person who reinvigorated the "family" part of "Michigan family". There are some great moments within his time here all the same, and we will always have those.

Pay me that kind of money and I will show you how nice of a guy I am.. Screw him, he has enough money to get by on.

Give me victories or give me death. Maybe I am a cold hearted SOB but I have had it with this program and the mediocrity that we seem to live in. I sit and watch other programs get hit with sanctions and still do well..

of the Year the same day.  REALLY.  We continue to look lost.

This next hire better be a homerun and win in year 1 ... and a little bit of everyone associated directly with program getting on the same page would go along way.  Hello L. Carr!!!!

At work so only quickly glancing through things, but I read on social media that Bacon was just on Wtka saying Les Mile would absolutely accept the job if offered.  Can anyone confirm this?

This is only half the equation. Hackett better have someone solid lined up or the program may never recover.

I think M should take OSU strategey.  Hire DC as Interim Head Coach for a year and have time to see who is out there and maybe interested.  OSU hire DC Luke Fickell as Interim then went out and got Urban who had left Florida a year earlier and was working for ESPN at the time.  He went undefeated his first year and would have played for National Champ if not on probation.

A good formula me thinks!
