hell, i went to plenty early 80s games. i was more enthused about those than these past 2 years. juwan has to go. use his health as an excuse.

So my choice to watch Engineering Disasters was the better one? Horrible train wreck, collapsing tunnel, and a falling crane in recent episodes. They always try to say what was learned. I’m not sure we’re seeing any learning recently.

Hearing all the Michigan hasn’t played a good offense yet birds. Time to shut down Washington’s offense and make Penix have a horrible day
January 4th, 2024 at 11:27 PM ^
Forget it, he's rolling.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:14 PM ^
If it’s within 5 with 2 minutes to go Michigan should just line up in the handshake line 🤝
January 4th, 2024 at 11:15 PM ^
They should let five random fans from the maize rage finish the game.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:17 PM ^
You’d inevitably get the same result. So frustrating.
January 5th, 2024 at 12:44 AM ^
Are you sure?
January 5th, 2024 at 12:45 AM ^
That’s actually kind of brilliant. Imagine the exposure they’d get for doing that.
January 5th, 2024 at 6:36 AM ^
'exposure'? the NCAA would suspend the football team for that.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:35 PM ^
They must have had 10 games where they should have or could have won in the last minute and lost every one of them. Odds are they would have won 5. It’s hard to evaluate where the problem is since it’s all mental at that point.
January 5th, 2024 at 9:10 AM ^
Do you realize how much money people could make waiting until the 2 minute mark to make live bets against Michigan? I am incredibly sad at this thought.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:17 PM ^
The sacrifice that leads to a win on Monday is the sacrifice that our men have been putting in, day in and day out, for years.
What's happening with the basketball team is completely unrelated (though the same level of sacrifice as the football team would make a huge difference).
Can't say they didn't have their chances at the end. But it shouldn't even come down to that. The basketball team is just sad.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:17 PM ^
Ugh. Didn’t watch it , had too much to do, guess it’s a good thing… sad
January 4th, 2024 at 11:19 PM ^
It's really difficult to get frustrated when we know this is for the football team. So continue to suck!
January 4th, 2024 at 11:20 PM ^
Hi CoMisch. I work as a paranormal advisor. My sources are telling me that the only thing that will work (in terms of a sacrifice for Monday) is if you sacrifice part of your ear (just grab the sharpest knife in the drawer and carve off a piece approximately the size of a lima bean and place it in a jar), or if you run a knitting needle through your ballsack -- just has to go through the skin so not a big deal.

Do preexisting piercings count? If so, I got this one fellas.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:20 PM ^
I'm glad I stopped to read this. I was all set to order up a goat to sacrifice for the Football Team.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:25 PM ^
Here's how I remain happy: I don't watch UM hoops anymore. They are not fun to watch.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:30 PM ^
It came down to mirror image plays on each end during the last 30 seconds. Get the switch of their 5 onto your PG and have the PG drive.
Reed got blown by Nkamhoua over helps, dunk. Minnesota up 4.
Dug can’t get by their 6-11 guy, other big stays home, Dug takes a tough shot. Game over.

I think Juwan has 2 years to turn this program around. I'm not sure if he can but he might? He may be on the hot seat but I think he has through the 2025 season to make the NCAA tourney.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:38 PM ^
Woohoo, another year and a half of this shit!!
January 4th, 2024 at 11:38 PM ^
If he is here for 2 more years we will get regulated to DII
and still lose
January 4th, 2024 at 11:42 PM ^
I'm assuming you're being sarcastic . I sure hope so
January 5th, 2024 at 1:00 AM ^
You have a absurdly low bar for UM basketball if you think the standard should multiple of years of not making the NCAA tournament in a row before a coach is actually fired.
January 4th, 2024 at 11:46 PM ^
Not-Fun Facts: Five of Michigan's eight losses have been by five points or fewer. They're still the only Big Ten Men's Basketball team with a losing record, but they play 7-7 Penn State in Philadelphia on Sunday, so there's a chance that the Nittany Lions also could be under .500 after Sunday's game. (And yes, I'm saying that there's a chance.)

I don’t have peacock. I will not have peacock. It’s probably for the best, because apparently it didn’t go well and I didn’t waste my time, but I’m still going to bitch about peacock.
Screw you peacock.

There’s a 0% chance Warde fires Juwan.
January 5th, 2024 at 7:08 AM ^
He has to answer to Santa though. Warde doesn’t want him coming down his chimney.
January 5th, 2024 at 12:19 AM ^
Part of me was hoping the game was on BTN+ so I couldn't watch. Couldn't help myself.
January 5th, 2024 at 12:26 AM ^
What's the use of being 59th in the statistical rankings if you can't win a close game against anyone in the top 150?
If a peacock dances in the forest and no one sees him dance, is it really worth paying eleven zillion dollars for one wild card NFL game and this display of, um, hardcourt excellence?
January 5th, 2024 at 12:39 AM ^
In order for it to be a sacrifice, doesn't it need to be valuable?
January 5th, 2024 at 12:41 AM ^
Anybody know if/when we're getting UFRs this week?
January 5th, 2024 at 12:53 AM ^
If you get a UFR this week, it’ll likely be Sunday. Although I would be very surprised if these guys had the time for it this week. You may have heard there is a big game coming up on Monday night.
January 5th, 2024 at 12:45 AM ^
Darn. I watched the first half, and the team looked pretty good.
January 5th, 2024 at 1:51 AM ^
They could go 0 for the next 100 if the football team just finishes the story Monday night. It's happening boys.
January 5th, 2024 at 6:01 AM ^
Who didn’t want Juwan to succeed? I haven’t followed much basketball yet because, uh, football. However what little I have has been extremely disappointing and not much reason for it. Unfortunately I think the writings on the wall.
January 5th, 2024 at 7:11 AM ^
If UM wins a title on Monday and the this basketball teams rips off a 5-game win streak I'm going to never doubt the idea of curses and karma again.
January 5th, 2024 at 8:14 AM ^
Time for Juwan to GO..hes horrible coach..no enthusiasm no intensity ..His teams look discombobulated no defense and fold down the stretch...
January 5th, 2024 at 8:39 AM ^
I'm glad that football season has gone extra-long this year, because between this team and the Pistons, basketball has just been unwatchable.
January 5th, 2024 at 2:09 PM ^
So far the team cannot play sustained defense. The offense is also frustrating because they struggle to maintain a lead and they take too many “wrong” shots. However they do score the basketball. If they could only rebound a bit better and sustain defense- meaning don’t get caught over helping and gain a lock down mentality. Not sure it’s going to happen at any point with this team as it was “thrown together” to fill the gaps.
I like the coaching staff but I have to believe they are getting close to the chopping block.
January 5th, 2024 at 2:18 PM ^
I watched a D3 game in person Thursday night (Trine University at Kalamazoo College) before I got home to watch us play on the Peacock. I was much more impressed with the defense played by D3 versus anything I’ve seen from Michigan this year.
And the most wonderful thing about the D3 game was there were no TV timeouts and no going to replay to see if the ball may have caught a player’s fingernail before going out of bounds.
